The ending was OK, it wasn't absolutely horrible and it certainly wasn't good. Nicolas Cage at times IMO was laughable, but I thought the premise of the movie was good and the execution was decent. I do think the disaster scenes in those though are very well done, and I don't think it was overdone, like The Day After Tomorrow. He kept looking around like he didn't know what the hell to do...  It seems like the directors of the movie didn't know how to end it, so they got high and finished the movie lol.
