reno
Should be a good game, but I take the 9ers since they are home. Singletary is a fantastic coach.
The Regime
Yeah I give a slight edge to the Niners since they are at home. I envision a big game out of Coffee.
The Great iBoldin
Yeah I give a slight edge to the Niners since they are at home. I envision a big game out of Coffee. Meh, Coffee's too inconsistent right now to piece together a quality, 100-yard+, but the Falcons defensive tackle depth has taken a hit, so the possibility is definitely there to do so. For me, I want to see how the outside tackles do against John Abraham, Lawrence Sidbury and the Falcons rushers. Atlanta has gotten pretty good pressure from their front four in every game this season, and it's probably the 49ers biggest test besides Minnesota, and maybe Arizona. There was a cool soundbyte on NFL.com with Singletary on Sound FX. He's very strict against players making mistakes, but he's got an honest side in believing his players deserve a second chance to make the right play. Take Josh Morgan. Dropped a surefire touchdown in the third, Singletary was on him like a dog on raw meat. Softened up, gave him another chance, and he came through with a TD in double coverage. He's a genuinely great coach, and I'm sure the players take up to him.
Cobb
If we can get our passing game started early I think we should be able to win the game. If we don't get the passing game established then were going to be in trouble.
Cobb
Falcons up 14-10 right now early in the 2nd quarter.

ChosenOne
Very Very Very Very sad performance from the 49ers. Falcons came to play and the 49ers just bent overand took it up the [expletive] all day.
Cobb
Falcons are killing the 49ers. It's almost like the 49ers don't even want to be there.
reno
don't worry 9ers, falcons will get shut up next week.
Cobb
By the Bears? I highly doubt it if we play as well as we did today.
The Great iBoldin
You can't expect to win football games if you put the ball in Shaun Hill's hands 38 times a game. The defense needs to step up and take command of the game. Singletary had little trust in Glen Coffee.
EastCoastNiner
I'm very disapointed in the San Fransisco 49er's performance today, but the defense didn't play as poorly as the score would indicate - The Atlanta Falcons got an interception off a tipped ball around the San Fransisco 49er's 20 yard line and scored. - Roddy White had a 90 yard TD that never should have happened if Nate Clements played like he has in all of the other games this season. - Delaine Walker fumbled the following kick-off, even though it wasn't a fumble. They played poorly, but those were the toughest plays.
