owned? if it wasnt for that tipped ball at the end they couldve won or tied it, they hung with pittsburgh..

Or if vikings did int return a kickoff for a td near the end, steelers still would have been up two scores. That said, pittsburgh did not own the vikings, they simply outplayed them at the end. Its amazing how a 40 year old qb can still pass over 300 yards against a great team such as the steelers.

He is the best running back in the game, you sill hand him the ball. Making Farve throw the ball 51 times is not going to get you the win ever against a good team like the Steelers.

Favre completed 34 of those passes for 334 yards. The Vikings had more yards and possession of the ball. The only issue was the turnovers in those crucial moments. One was a fumble by Favre (the Vikings allowed 4 sacks and 6 QB hits) and the other was an INT that came off the tipped fingers of C. Taylor. Favre was brought to the Vikings to manage games, win games and pass if Peterson is getting no where.

You still dont give the best runningback only 18 carries that is just stupid.

It's sad that Adrian Peterson can't do anything when the offensive-line isn't giving him HUGE lanes.........

It's sad that you don't understand what Peterson does that makes him such a successful running back.

Sometimes teams have to win games without their best player doing much.

If the Steelers owned the Vikings, I'd hate to hear what happened to the last two teams that have played the Pats.

Bad, bad turnovers near the end. Didn't like the tripping call either, but I'm not sure if that really had any effect on the outcome in the end, since Percy decided to play Superman and return the kickoff for a TD.

Favre and Rice are connecting well already. That's pretty dangerous, to say the least, especially when Harvin is Favre's other threat.

The Vikings lose a game to the defending SuperBowl champs, who just brought back Troy. If they had lost to a bottom-feeding, one or two win team, I'd be shocked.

Honestly, the only thing I'm upset at is that we had chances to take the lead, but it didn't happen due to turnovers. Otherwise, at least the loss is out of the way (especially against a very good team, the defending Super Bowl champs). I just hope that the Vikings get everything back together so they can defeat the Packers at Lambeau. Oh, I've heard that Winfield might be out for a month. Great.

Diesel told me on AIM that he didn't even watch the game. Don't mind him, he's just upset that his team lost last week to the Oakland Raiders, who the Eagles lost to. The Raiders! Philly lost to them!

We lost on a fluke play to the defending champs on their home turf. Tomlin readily admitted that his team was outplayed. I agree, and I'm sure many of the Steelers faithful will to. Very impressed despite the loss, and I still feel that we're the better team.

Favre did throw 51 times but it's a bit inflated from the extended handoffs (i.e. screens, flats, etc.). They had to get the ball in space somehow because the running game wasn't producing. Pittsburgh played the run like every other defense has this season... there's only so much you can do with a stacked box and plugged lanes.

Absolutely it did. Harvin's return negated Pittsburgh's, but if that penalty doesn't happen, Minnesota takes the lead right there.
