Diesel
Year You Became a Fan:2001 was when I really got into it. Why You Became a Fan: Lots of hype about the team in the local area and I liked basketball. Favorite 76ers Player, All-Time: Allen Iverson Favorite 76ers Coach, All-Time: Larry Brown Favorite 76ers Moment: Owning the Lakers in Game 1 of the Finals in 2001 and basically that playoff run in general. Runner up is Thaddeus's left handed lay-up over Dwight in Game 3 of this past year. Amount of 76ers Games Attended:Been going to 10+ a year for the past few years. I'd guess about 50 now. Phightins
Year You Became a Fan: I have been a Philadelphia sports fan for my entire life, but it took the longest for me to warm up to the Sixers/the NBA in general. So I'd say I started following closely in the early 2000's. Why You Became a Fan: To complete my Philadelphia fan-dom. Favorite 76ers Player, All-Time: Allen Iverson Favorite 76ers Coach, All-Time: Larry Brown Favorite 76ers Moment: I honestly did not follow the 2000-01 team too closely so I don't remember anything specific from that year, but Game 1 against Detroit last year or Game 3 against Orlando this year are probably my favorites. Also Iguodala's shot to beat the Lakers. Amount of 76ers Games Attended: Probably closing in on 40-45ish. Have been going to 10+ per year for the past 2 years, and will this coming year too. Philly Diehard
Let me be the first one in over a year to revive this: Year You Became a Fan: I'd say in the 2002-2003 season was when I truly became a fan. I was 9-10 at the time, so that was about the age I started to get into all sports. Why You Became a Fan: I live in South Jersey, about 10 minutes away from Philly, so I grew up as a Philadelphia sports fan in general. The 76ers are no exception. Favorite 76ers Player, All-Time: Julius Erving and Allen Iverson. I grew up as Iverson being the best thing that the 76ers had in forever, he was so exciting and although he never gave us an NBA Championship, he gave up so many exciting moments. Favorite 76ers Coach, All-Time: Larry Brown. It's who I grew up to love. Favorite 76ers Moment: 2001 NBA Finals Game 1, easily. Even winning 1 game was a huge upset, let alone game 1. Everyone thought it was going to be another dominating sweep by the Lakers, and we basically gave them a huge slap in the face. Amount of 76ers Games Attended: Less than I should have, probably between 10-20 only. About 3-4 a year. Hopefully it will be around 10 a year soon enough though. Amare320
Year You Became a Fan: I became a fan around 2002, i was around 11 years old at the time. Why You Became a Fan: It simply just happened and i thank God for placing the desire in my heart to became a fan of Sixers. They were the first team i fell for as soon as i picked up a basketball in my life. Favorite 76ers Player, All-Time: Allen Iverson, because on the court he was simply a warrior, i have so many memories of his will to win being so evident in how he played on the court every night. Also Willie Green, despite his woes as a player, he still brought a lot to the team, he's all class IMO. Favorite 76ers Coach, All-Time: Sadly Maurice Cheeks, but im sure Doug Collins will take that place soon enough. Favorite 76ers Moment: When they win as a team. Amount of 76ers Games Attended: 0, I live in the land down under.
