EastCoastNiner
Alright, I'm wondering how many other people feel like the NBA get's a bad rap for their players being "thugs" and other things, when it seems like there are a lot more cases of violence involving NFL players, and it seems like those cases don't hurt the perception of the NFL too much. I know that there has been some outrage about Michael Vick, but I think that the outrage about his crimes are barely associated with the NFL, whereas I believe that if it was an NBA player that committed a crime like that, the NBA as a whole would get a bad rap. It seems to me that a lot of people think the players in the NBA are thugs, but people don't really feel like that about the NFL and their players. Do anyone else agree? Jenneral
The NBA gets a bad rap for things like the Ron Artest brawl. Nothing like that has happened in the NFL in my recent memory.

Nothing like that has happened in the NFL in my recent memory. That'd be disastrous if it did... 80,000+ fans with about 80 rioting players. But yeah I think the league only gets bad rep temporarily when crimes are highlighted by the media. Things like speeding tickets and stuff like that tend to be taken more seriously by the press for some unknown reason, and it's really pointless to publish a "Top News Story" on something so miniscule like that.
