He should retire already, no one wants him because his a ball hog plain and simple.

this "ballhog" averaged over twice as many assist as OJ in his rookie season.

rockets IMO. though if tmac and yao come back healthy, i dont know where he would fit in.

Still when a taller person is passing the ball there is an higher risk of interception.

Agree or Disagree?

Not necessarily, because they have the ability to see and pass over taller players.

Magic Johnson is an excellent example of it. Kobe Bryant and Scottie Pippen run the triangle because of it.

Jason Kidd is 6-4, which is OJ Mayo's height.

LeBron is 6-8 and an excellent passer.

Jordan is 6-6.

Height can make a difference in a positive manner.

Yeah, but you dont see A YAO MING with the Hands of Jason Kidd, its very hard for taller people to pass the ball accurently.

Right, but we're comparing two guards, not Iverson and Saer Sene.

As much as I used to hate Iverson, he wasn't an extremely selfish player. When it was time to put the team on his back, yes, but that was the obvious thing to do as a superstar, and he stopped doing that after teaming up with Melo in Denver.

His selfish play has never been any different from what we have seen out of Bryant, LeBron, and McGrady in recent years. People just didn't care much for Iverson's antics off the court, along with his unwillingness to cooperate with the franchise (ex. not practicing), and the label "selfish" slapped him in the face.

Well, Charlotte would be good as the situation is right and the money is there, but i don't think it'll happen for some reason. Houston would be a good fit if they didn't already have Aaron Brooks have that breakout performance in the playoffs&T-Mac coming back with their MLE used on Ariza already lol. Clipps are a no-go with Baron/Gordon there and the Grizz are a no-go with Mayo/Conley there. Retirement or Miami IMO. Leaning towards retirement.

u cant be serious. WOW.

oj mayo is 6'4

ai is 6'0

OJ is a guard, its one his duties to pass to the ball around. of course u dont see yao ming passing the ball when hes 7'6. do u see yao ming dribble? no. do u see oj dribble? yes u do. check mate.

Real, I think no team wants him because of his non existent defense and bad shots (constantly taking shots over defenders) and decision making (passing when he's supposed to take a shot and taking a shot when he's supposed to pass) kill. Like there are many instances in Denver when he and Melo on a break instead of dropping it to a wide open Melo he takes all the way.

I know he has the ability to take and make tough shots but team wins as a whole not an individual. Opposing teams see this as a team that is easy to attack because it is undisciplined. Being undisciplined makes insconsitency, inconsistency = some nights you're unbelievable some nights you're total crap.

He also likes to dribble into his own teammates' "zone" and forces them out of his way... Kobe does this too at times to create his offense but very very seldom. He is committed to his team's system, Iverson on the other hand is committed to Iverson. No team can make him...

If at this stage of his career he has showing in Detroit like he did, it's embarassing. It really says a lot about him as a character that he doesn't really care about winning but his own self. All his quotes saying he better retire than coming off the bench, speaks loud about himself.

I really lost respect for him for saying he's all heart and about winning, but when the time passes and teams ask him to take a secondary role for the betterment of the team, he totally ditches that mentality. AI is about winning when he is the vocal point, when he is not, winning is too insignificant compared to his role.

I have more respect for Marbury for his stint in Boston, really walking the talk than just talk. He looked to pass and was reduced to a catch and shoot player, but he did all that without complaining and proved he was a team player he said he was going to be.

OJ taller than AI. Kinda hard for taller people to pass the ball duhh.

Are you serious? Wow, what are they, 4 inches apart at most? That shouldn't make a difference. Most point guards are around that height, maybe SLIGHTLY shorter. And as RD said, look at Magic, he was probably around 6'7. OJ has no handicaps or disadvantages to being a good passer

It depends on the length of the contract. I think it would be smart for Charlotte to sign him for a 1 year contract to see if they can sneak into the playoffs. Same with Huston, if they signed him for 1 year they could still manage to compete this year.

Houston needs those tickets to be bought while Yao is out and Tracy is molding back into form. He doesn't realistically have a chance for that ring with Houston, but it's the best chance out of the options.

Well, I'm reading that McGrady won't be back for the first half of the season (missing 40-50 games), but who knows.

If that's the case, I don't see how the Rockets will score any points if they don't pick up someone like Iverson.
