Celtics3420
Pretty simple really. Most, if not all the ppl here play ball. If not, you either just watch or are lost lol. Anyways, describe ur game/type of player you are. I'm a slashing/Passing PG. Really like to take it in and dish off to the help defender's man(Pause). I'm more of the team player in any game, serious or not. I know alot of guys who just wanna score and don't care about winning, but when we lose, they're all like "oh, i did all i can but we still lost cuz my teammates sucked." Owner Real Deal Posted August 22, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted August 22, 2009 I used to be a slashing two-guard, but since my eye problems, I've had to develop a shot and stay away from contact a bit, so I'm more of a shooting point-forward. On offense, I love using shot fakes and footwork. I will post up and get my shot off from there, or hang around outside and quietly lose my man to free up for a shot. I am an excellent ball-handler. Really, really, really good. I don't act like I'm Hot Sauce if I'm really playing basketball, but it's rare for me to lose the ball off a steal, even in traffic, and I can put the ball anywhere. On defense, I suck in the post. If someone heavier than me posts me up five feet from the rim, I'm done. I'll usually run out and pick up whoever wants to drive or shoot the ball. My perimeter defense is 10 times my post defense, and I can stay in front of most, or lead them into zones they don't want to be in. I think the one thing that I now have to fix is my court vision, mainly on defense. Someone can come to my left and set a screen, and I will drive into it, full speed, if nobody calls it for me. It's because my left eye is still 90% blind, and there's just nothing that can prevent me from doing that other than a teammate calling it out for me, or just extremely bad body odor. Sun Tzu
I'm a distributing PG with a above average three-point shooting ability. I have a pretty good handles and usually ankle break good defenders. My defense is average, nothing special though. I usually get some good passes, been practicing an under the leg pass through the defenders leg, it usually goes directly my teammate in a post position. But then I play against Australians so competition here isn't so great compared to people in the US.
Dr. Feelgood
I know alot of guys who just wanna score and don't care about winning, but when we lose, they're all like "oh, i did all i can but we still lost cuz my teammates sucked." That described me pretty good. Though on defense, I'd like to think I'm a little bit above average. People usually see me and think they can cross me with ease but I can usually poke the ball away against people who have never played against me. Down in the post on defense, I can usually match up with people a couple of inches taller than me since I've got upper body strength but when they have upper body strength, it's usually an easy bucket for them. When I have someone smaller guarding me, I'll go right into the post and post up the person on me because I do have upper body strength. I'm a slightly below three point shooter. I will probably make 4-10 from downtown. I've been known to miss threes in the middle of games but when the game is coming down to the wire, I've also been known to make the game winning three. My mid range shot is slightly above decent. I don't usually like to shoot as I prefer to drive in for a layup or for an assist. I'll usually drive to the right but lately have been trying to perfect my left hand layup as it does come in handy but right now looks UGLY. That's my game. TheHutch
Shooting SG/SF type. More of a spot up shooter, not so much off the dibble. Also I'm a really good defender, but I'm a terrible ball handler (which is why I'm more of a spot up shooter).
Warren2ThaG
3 point specialist with lot's of speed. Can get on major stroking streaks from deep. I'm ok on defense cuz' I can be gritty and stay in front of you. Might need to work on my driving skills.

Mac Dre
i'm a SF but i can defend every position decently. I can penetrate alright, shoot pretty well, but i have horrible playmaking skills. I kinda consider myself like hedo turkoglu on offense without the playmaking skills. Legacy
I'm good at shooting, changing/blocking shots, defense, and passing. I'm slow and suck at ball handling.
s.t.a.t.
I am about 5'10 and play as a PG/SG. My best game is from behind the arc, when I got to college ppl thought I was on the schools team when im not at all haha. I play physical when I drive, I like to get fouled going to the rim.I added an almost Iverson-like hesitation cross move to my game to pull up a jumper or go to the hoop however they bite on it. I also play physical D which sometimes ppl get pissy cause they think bball isnt a contact sport when it is and call [expletive] fouls. I have good court vision which enables me to pass well and see the open players all along the court.
Flight
I'm a 6'0", 150 lb. PG, so I'm almost like a mini TJ Ford (if that's possible to be smaller than him). I'm a drive first, pass second, get hacked/occasionally get an And-1 to fall player. I score about 12 points a game, but I'm more of a passer and defender. Most of my points come on fast breaks and free throws (I shoot about 85% from the line), and the occasional 3 pointer. My weakest point for scoring is that I don't adjust well to shooting different distances (at game speed, when I've got someone on me. if it's HORSE, I'm fine haha), so I'm dialed in to the 3 pointers and free throws, but beyond that it's questionable. I like to use my quickness (I'm quick and evasive around screens, and fast in the open floor) to drive to the hoop, then dish to the open man. If there's absolutely nothing there I'll try to draw a foul (at my weight, any contact from a big man looks like a flagrant haha). On defense I use my long arms (I have a 6'3" or 6'4" wingspan) to create some cheap turnovers, and use my anticipation (probably my best natural attribute is anticipation, I have experience as a CB and played about every sport so I anticipate most passes) to get some more steals/tips. Statistiacally I'm terrible with turnovers and fouls, but a lot of the turnovers come from me tipping passes out of bounds that would be open shots. I foul about 3.5 times a game since I go for a lot of steals, but when I get to 3 fouls I play more conservatively and stay away from gambling. I face guard people a lot, sometimes it pisses them off and I can draw a charge haha. I'm a smart player that's not very talented or skilled with the ball, but my speed, handling, passing, vision, instincts, and defense keep me on the floor. ChosenOne
I am a hustle/driving/defensive/post up player. Other than that I can not do anything I suck at dribbling the ball and am as broke as someone can get with the 3 ball (still shoot it at times )and my midrange jumper is has its days. The thing that I love about my game is that I have the balls to get infront of anyone and take a charge. I lead my team all 4 years in taking charges . Dash
I'm a more fundamental type SG/SF, I like to get my points off screens and I love running around the court playing with lots of energy. I consider myself a pretty decent point forward too, my passing used to be really good. However, I usually play with my glasses/contacts off so my vision is iffy especially at night so I'm turnover prone. I also put a lot of pressure on my back so I get back pains after a while, and I start to slow down and [expletive].
The Regime
SG, I can shoot from almost any place on the floor. I am a good spot up shooter, and a decent slasher to the hole. I have really good speed which I make real good use of in the open floor. I have good verticle also, which often surprises alot of people. A couple weaknesses in my game are my post defense, I struggle guarding bigger guys( I'm only 145 pounds). I'm good at playing perimeter defense when I put my mind to it, but I tend to get lazy and let guys fly past me.
Diesel
6'1 170Position: played either Forward spot when I played, but it's just the blacktop for me now. Pros-Good mid range shot and touch around the rim-good passer-Hustles, I dive on that blacktop for those balls-Smart defensive player making right handed guys go left and making players go to the baseline and things like that-good rebounder for my size still trying to bulk up though-great at posting up whether the result be a fadaway midrange shot, hook shot, or a mchale Cons-Bad three point shot, I probably shoot 25% from there and that's when I'm open.-Not the best dribbler when pressured(I'm spending a lot of time though doing dribbling drills recently to improve this)-Not the best slasher-Not assertive enough at times and relucant to take things on my own when I got scrubs on my team taking retarded shots.-feet arn't as quick as I'd like them to be so sometimes the really fast guys can do a move and get around me really fast defensively-when i'm in the post sometimes i hesitate to block a penetrator's shot or at least alter it enough for them to screw up. Well at least this helped me evaluate what I need to work on lol
kingfish
B you know how to fix the post problem, just get steals. Whenever someone bigger then me posts me up I always go for the steal and always get it, its just so easy. I dont know if people just suck at entry passes or if im that quick but i always get the steal. I think stealing post passes is easy and people dont try it enough. Once you steal it 2 or 3 times they stop posting you up because it just causes turnovers.
