kingfish
How do some people already have a 99 rating lol. How does a rookie in draft combine go into the NBA already as the best. Look at the leaderboards. This career mode game doesnt seem realistic.

Look at the leaderboards. This career mode game doesnt seem realistic. These are probably made by either staff or people who glitched the game or something. They should have been taking off the leaderboard. And, no, you don't get drafted and wind up as the best. By the sound of it, you start out with about 3 mins per game and work your way up from there depending on how you play. kingfish
Hmm ok. Im gonna get some MS points soon. So is there anything exciting in this combine thing other then scrimmages, do you get to play against like some NBA players or anything. Also is there anyway to force yourself out of a situation. Can you tell a team you dont want to be drafted by them, I want to pull a Kobe and make my way out to LA

You'll get to play with NBA players once the full game comes out and you get drafted (you only get drafted from playing the combine, I think, otherwise you're an undrafted free agent). I think your best bet to get drafted by LA is to be a PG and average an A+ teammate grade (that's how I did it). If not, I suppose after getting drafted you can play bad on purpose during training camp, so that you'll get cut and maybe have a chance at trying out for your favorite team. Even if you wind up on the wrong team, though, you still only have a 1 year deal, and could get an offer by your 2nd year.

JWaLL
To those wondering about the 99 rated characters, it is an exploited glitch that was discovered by a few lucky (soon to be unlucky) people. 2k is handling it though, and won't allow any of the players rated that high to be uploaded to the 2k servers. Those people will probably be forced to start from scratch with their players, or at least get a severe rating decrease.
Sun Tzu
I'll probably get this when the game comes out and if it comes out for Australian accounts... if not then I'll just have to make a new account and put the location to US so that I can download it. JWaLL
Some rumor said that DC was only coming out in the US. A lot of European people were complaining on the 2k forums about that. Not sure if Australia is getting it or not, but it sounded pretty US exclusive. Celtics3420
Re-did the game. My dude is projected 22nd(i think) to the Bobcats . 46 overall, averaging 10/5/9 on great %'s and with a teammate grade of A-

Remember your draft projection doesn't mean much, so whether you get drafted 10th or 30th in the 2nd round, you still enjoy the game the same way. JWaLL
Can I completely erase my guy and do a new 1? or do I need to do it on a new account?Just clear your game save (not the game itself, just the saved data) and you should be able to start the game as if you just downloaded it. Teletopez
I went from a B in the first quarter of my first game to a D+ in the fourth quarter . I'm not a huge fan of some of the grading. I scored all of my points with FT's. And the teammates don't help.

At times it feels like no matter what you do, your grade won't go up. But if you call for the ball one too many times, you drop half a letter lol. At times it feels like no matter what you do, your grade won't go up. But if you call for the ball one too many times, you drop half a letter lol.Strange. I actually have to try to not get a good grade if I want anything below an A+. I normally have an A by at least midway through the 2nd. When does your grade normally drop? Steal attempts? Turnovers? Dominating the ball? I guess some suggestions from me is to: 1. Take note of what brings your grade down and stay away from those things. 2. Go after every rebound and contest every shot near you. I got my 6'3'' PG to get 7.5 rebounds per game just because I went after the board every time a shot went up.3. (If you're a PG) Pick-n-roll (i think it's LB) every time you aren't on a fast break (this will help get your bigs open by the basket), or if you have a shooter on the team, walk it up and wait for your bigs to set them a screen (will obviously get them open for a shot). I got my PG about 13 assists per game with these two tricks and fast breaks.4. This probably won't help your grade, but a way to help stick to your man off the ball is to push the right stick towards him.5. If you have trouble staying in front of your man, call for a double team (RB). Double teams raise your grade for some reason, and it also forces your man to give up the ball so you won't get subtracted for being scored on if he gets the assist. I suppose it's a way to raise your grade if you're desperate.6. A scoring trick: Drive to the basket, hopstep to where you are 2-3 yards away from the hoop, tap X to pumpfake and immediately press the right stick forward (before he finishes the fake, without pulling any triggers). Whether your man jumps at the fake or not you should score more often than not with this move, no matter what type of player you chose. 7. If you like to dominate the ball but you don't want to be subtracted for holding it too long, just pass to a wing player and run up to him and press A to ask for it back, to sorta reset your unseen ball-in-hands timer. 8. You get a positive grade for good passes, or just passing to people who's man isn't tight on him or recovering. You can help create space for you're teammates when you pass the ball from using icon passing, by press RB-B (if you're passing to a SG, for example) while pulling the left stick in the direction you want your teammate to catch the ball. It helps to get players the ball in better position especially when they are either on a fast break or coming off a screen. That's about all I can think of right now. I'll post more when they come to mind. Edited September 12, 2009 by Poe

I'll post more when they come to mind.It depends on your position IMO. As a point guard, I found it really easy to get an A+ because every "good pass" I had seemed to raise my grade. As a scoring style shooting guard, passing well did almost nothing, but I felt like I would get penalized for the most minor mistakes. It's not a huge problem to me though, I mean with all As or Ds, you still get to play the My Player mode. Neither one really has an advantage over the other, it's just a different way to approach the game.
