its not hard you just use all your skill points to make your player smarter. Use them on there defensive awareness and offensive awareness. highest i got was 54 overall that why. Its so easy to score if you choose the athletic player i averaged 28 pts 8 rebounds 12 assists and 11 steals

The 11 steals is the reason you got 1st pick. I've heard some people have had as high as 22 steals per game, through what they called "steal glitching". It's not a glitch, just a fault in the game. Inbound steals are very easy to get. All you have to do is get in front of the PG, and for some reason when they inbound pass to the SG, the SG automatically gives it back to the PG, regardless if you are there for the steal or not. I hope they fix this when the full game comes out.

Some people use realistic means to be productive and others search for faults in the game to abuse. There's nothing wrong with the latter, if that's your way of having fun with a game so be it - there's always going to be faults and glitches in games so I can't stop you. I just hope the "cheesing" in online play will be as lowered as possible.

I didn't search for faults in the game to get my rating up i simply upgraded the skills i thought would help me the most with my D awareness and my O awareness you going to tell me i exploited more faults with my 8 boards and 12 assists a game. come one and WTH is it my fault i play the passing lanes well

Its not hard to be the 1st pick of the second round i know alot of people that can get that after 2 or 3 games

agreed, i never really went for steals like that. It takes the realism away from the game. averaging near a quadruple double is smh worthy. Personally, i tried to play the game like i would IRL. My player wasnt the best, but im projected to be picked 22nd or something by the bobcats :). Im thinking Felton/Augustin are gonna be looking for new jobs :3

I played like i would normally would too playing the passing lanes pushing the ball etc that why i had so many easy buckets and assists the when i got rebounds i pushed the ball. honestly I hope they fix that too cause it is not realistic and would pefer to see a better AI. Another reason you can get free points is dunking and highlight plays with an athletic player you can do that. try it

The only thing I accused you of doing was the steals. Sorry, but 11 steals per game in 5 minute quarters makes me a bit skeptical about your style of play, especially since the computer mostly walks the ball up the floor. You'd have to be getting a steal in just about every other possession. I highly doubt the AI is THAT bad, even for low rated players. Honestly, though, there's nothing wrong if you were actually going after inbound steals. I'm not going to try to control the world and tell people to play by MY rules. The only right way to play a video game turn your TV set and xbox on, grab a controller, and press buttons.

BTW, I did exactly the same thing you did with my pass-first 6'3'' PG, minus the steals. Averaged 18 points (48% shooting from mostly midrange and inside baskets), 13 assists, 8 boards, and 2 steals if I remember correctly. I had an A+ grade every game (A+ is way too easy to get, IMO, they need to up the grading difficulty), and I spent my skill points on mostly my awareness ratings, plus a couple other ratings on the side, and winded up with a 50 total rating by the last game. All the same things as you, but less shots taken (and/or probably lower FG%) leading to less PPG and also a major difference in steals, yet mine turned out to be a 12th pick and never touched anything below 10th. I doubt the points were the issue since the combine advertisements stress the whole 'ball hog' thing, so it's obviously the unusually higher amount of steals than the game designers intended, whether you did it from the AI inbounding or you found some alternative way to do it from half-court, or on-ball, post-entry passes, double teams, or something of the sort.

The AI feeds the ball to the bigs you can double team and you can get the steals that way and playing the passing lanes, and you don;t have to bog hog its about taking smart shots and dunking is a automatic highlight play and you can raise your grade with those. and i assure you the steals don't make that much of a difference. Its pushing the ball and getting easy baskets

Almost every shot I take I get the green light for good shot selection. The only reason I don't score much is because I don't always take 16 to 20 shots in a game, unless the defense gives me the extra looks or my teammates suck and I'm forced to create. I don't play offense looking for stats. Sometimes I'll let the ball move around and just get in good positioning. I don't always pass for the purpose of getting an assist, either. Sometimes I'll think 2 steps ahead. That's the type of player I am. Same thing on defense. Sometimes I'll go after passes if the right opportunity presents itself, but I normally find it more important to stick to my man and play proper help D. I'd rather have no steals and no buckets from my man than get 5 steals and get beat 10 times, which is what realistically happens when you overplay the passing lanes.

If you were getting steals because the AI is truly that terrible, then that proves both my points, anyway. You were getting steals because of the faults in the game, and the difference between our picks were the amount of spg in your stats.

nah im good lol. I made my dude to resemble me(5'11, 190), and i can't dunk IRL(unless its like a 9 foot rim). My dude is an all around PG.

your point was i was exploiting the game i wasn;t i was denying my man the ball (great D)and he was not scoring cause of it and when i would make him give it up i double the bigs cause thats who always scores thats all great about your way of playing but all you sound like a a decent role player i am a game changer. i demand double teams create my own shot and make others better thats the difference between us.

Is 18 points, 13 assists, and 8 boards in 20 minutes not game changing? Lmao. That's like saying Jason Kidd in the prime of his HoF-worthy career is only a decent role player. I read the game and adjust. Some games I had as many as 20 assists, yet only had 10 points since it wasn't necessary for me to score. Other games I had as many as 30 points, yet only about 5 assists, since my teammates weren't reliable. Is that what a "role player" does? And don't tell me that I don't make my teammates better when I avg more ast than you, haha, and I've drawn plenty of double teams myself. Just admit that the difference is the spg. If someone was averaging 11 steals in 20 minutes in r/l, this guy would be a first round pick no questions asked. Besides, I'd rather play point for the Lakers than the Kings, anyway.

i think we both just hav different views of the game. I like controling the ball and every play, you don't mind just floating around creating space. I just think we play didfferent styles. I said your description of a player is a decent role player! Get it straight, Its a different story if what you are getting is different and what you are describing really you averaged about one more assist then me and you had a 20 assist game? wth does say about the inconsitency in your game? my point is i obviously made much MORE smarter plays then just standing around like you. Not my fault i choose to be more active!!
