ManOnTheMoon
Dating back to Moses Malone going to the Stars in 1974, there have been more than 40 players drafted out of high school. Based on production and longevity (Malone played in 21 seasons and is a member of the NBA’s 50 Greatest) he still has to be considered the best prep-to-pro. But, look at those behind him—many will make strong claims to Malone’s No. 1 spot. 1. Kobe Bryant. Case for No. 1: Four championships and 11 All-Star appearances in 13 seasons. That’s a good start. 2. LeBron James. Case for No. 1: He could average a triple-double over the course of a season. 3. Kevin Garnett. Case for No. 1: He boasts career averages of 20.2 points, 11.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists. 4. Dwight Howard. Case for No. 1: He is already a dominating big man, only scratching the surface of his talent. 5. Amare Stoudemire. Case for No. 1: One of the league’s most explosive talents, but can he win? Diesel
Even though McGrady sucks now I think I would rank him over Amare just because T-Mac used to be reallly really good and Amare was never quite at that level.
