Be afraid. Be very afraid. Lil’ Wayne will to speak directly to your children on September 8. Gather the little ones around your television and prepare to be inspired.

Get Schooled, a television event sponsored by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in partnership with Viacom (parent company of MTV, BET, CMT, VH1, etc.) will focus on the challenges public schools face. Celebrities, including rapper DMC, actress Vivica A. Fox, songstress Solange and rapper Lil’ Wayne will speak to the concerns of a nation regarding educational opportunities for all our children. They will appeal directly to America’s youth and encourage them to stay in school.

Ponder this dynamic concept for a moment while Lil’ Wayne offers his surprisingly articulate thoughts:

I wonder if there's a correlation between:

1. Level of someone's education

2. That person's tendency to listen to rap.

A guy did a study and there is a disputable correlation I believe, I don't have a link though. All correlations have a room for error and special circumstances so take them for what they are; estimations.

Any news encouraging students to stay in school is good news though.

Pretty sure he majored [or at least has a degree in Psych]. You guys are just hating cause you guys want to ride some dick right now.

I'm not hating. Just saying he's not exactly a great role model. You'd only have to listen to one of his songs (if you can call them that) to figure that out.

They're going to use Wayne as the bad example. "Don't take school seriously and this is what could happen to you... *point to Wayne who happens to be high*"

Not hating, but Wayne is not a good example at all, come on now. You really think his message of "stay away from drugs" would be taken seriously, from a guy like him?

Maybe not a good business move for Wayne.

haha, im a hardcore rapfan and thought this exactly. wayne would be turning away his future customers by doing this lol. but someone with a higher education would want to stay away from craprap, but not neccesarily from the good stuff.
