Seriously, it's kind of crazy to say this, and you also think Madison Bumgarner is going to win a Cy Young Award within the next five years, which is very possible, but I doubt it. I follow minor league baseball and I've seen Bumgarner play. He's got a great fasball a solid change and an above average breaking pitch. However what sets him apart from the Strasberg and Feliz and the Hellickson's of the world is his pin point accuracy. He displayed arrcuaracy in the minors a lot of major league pitchers don't even have. BTW Feliz IMO is still a long shot for the hall of fame. I said IF he could develop pedro like control. Pedro like control is almost perfect. It is a very long shot that he ever learns how to control his secondary pitches and that 101 mph fastball. You lost me when you used the name of a 21 year old pitcher with just over a month of MLB service time and the words "hall of fame" in the same sentence. I don't care what the context is, just stop.

If not you could go back to the first grade or even kidergarden. Perhpas hooked on phonics would help you. Maybe the fat blue bear Muzzy could teach you english if thats your problem. Almost any pitcher that develops pedro like control and can change speeds is going to the hall of fame. You seem to really be familiar with the farm systems of a lot of teams, but you need to realize that in baseball, unlike any other sport, it is next to impossible to predict if a prospect will pan out. Especially a starting pitcher who, well, has yet to make a Major League start. If you'd like, I can go through the past 20 years and name all of the "can't miss" pitchers with dominant stuff and pinpoint control who were total busts. Obviously I have seen Feliz pitch, and chances are he will be a very good Major League pitcher, but it is ridiculous to assess his hall of fame credentials when he hasn't even made a Major League start yet. Things can change when he has to face guys 2-3 times a game, if not more, and multiple times a season.

I'm gonna say it one more time and this time I'll say it nice and slowly. IF...Neftali Feliz...of the Texas Rangers....can learn how to change speeds....and control the ball....like future hall of famer....and one...of the great...est...players of all...time...pedro martinez...he will...be...a...hall...of...famer. The only reason I said this is because Neftali reminds me of Pedro. I know Pedro relied in his stuff more than his control is his younger years, him and the blazing fastball. However in his later years when he could only hit low to mid 90's he relied on his change up and hitting his spots. Stick to Phillies baseball. I don't feel like getting suspended again, especially not over you, but seriously grow up. I got your point the first time you made it, I simply find the concept ridiculous (the concept of even thinking about hall of fame credentials for this guy, that is). Anyway, we have all seen Feliz pitch (well ECN and I at least, I'm sure Waldo and some others as well), and I think it's safe to say that everybody expects huge things out of him, but it is impossible to know. So it's not like I am undervaluing him or anything. I mean Christ, his changeup is 91 mph, and it's a damn good one. That says more than enough about the guy's talent. But it just doesn't work like that. There are only a handful of active players who should be mentioned in hall of fame discussions, and a 21 year old who has been in the league for a month is certainly not one of them. As I said, no matter how good he may look now, it's a whole new ballgame when you have to face guys the second time around. I don't know how long Texas plans on leaving him in the bullpen, but if/when they take the Joba approach and try to work him into the rotation, he will be challenged far more than he has to this point. Facing a lineup twice, three times around in one game is a whole different animal. Anyway, while we are at it, I guess we should start evaluating the hall of fame odds for Blake Griffin or Matt Stafford too, huh?

The fact that you won't concede the point that if a player pitches as well as a hall of famer he will be a hall of famer shows you have to grow up. Yeah if Blake Griffin plays as well as Patrick Ewing or Matthew Stafford plays like Joe Montana they will be in the hall of fame.
Phightins
Well clearly if he puts up Pedro Martinez Expos-Red Sox numbers, he will be in the hall of fame. But what is the point of even discussing this now? This has applied to so many other "can't miss" prospects over the years, very few of whom have turned out exactly as planned. Neftali Feliz may be different, who knows, and if he is then we can start discussing his hall of fame credentials in 6 or 7 years. Having the talent to perform at the Major League level, and actually doing it against Major League hitters once the book is out on you and guys have faced you a couple times are two very different things. Coming from the guy who thinks "sexyness" is more vital in judging a player than, say, OPS or K/BB ratio. Yeah, keep it up with the personal attacks Mr. "Model Poster". I love the irony though. You were just congratulated for being so good at "handling trolling", but apparently you are pretty good at dishing it out too. Oh, while we are on the topic, what do you think of the hall of fame chances for Fernando Martinez and Jon Niese? Because, you know, this is up for debate in so many baseball discussions right now. "Which low-20 something with barely any MLB experience has the best shot at Cooperstown?". It's the latest craze.

I made my counterpoint and I did honestly think you 2 were gay and boyfriends. Sorry if that isn't true I just thought it was. Back to the topic asking such an irrelevant question proves that you sir are trolling but I'll answer it anyway. They are extremely low however if F-mart plays like Ken Griffey Jr. and Jon Niese pitches like Roger Clemens I'd say they are pretty good.
