ChosenOne
Jordan and John had great speeches, I was hoping to catch the whole thing but missed bits and pieces. Damn work.
Owner Real Deal Posted September 12, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted September 12, 2009 Yeah, Jordan had an amazing speech. Stockton was funny...laughed every 60 seconds. I think I almost fell asleep during Sloan's speech. Robinson thanked a lot of people, didn't really get much into a life story. Good speech as well. Stringer was pretty humble, probably worked on her speech for a while. Great night.
EastCoastNiner
It's doesn't surprise me that Michael Jordan still acts like a cocky little [expletive], with his whole, "Well, the is an "I" in win", even though he wouldn't have won jack [expletive] without Scottie Pippen. Why can't he ever show some class instead of being a little [expletive]?
Owner Real Deal Posted September 12, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted September 12, 2009 It's doesn't surprise me that Michael Jordan still acts like a cocky little [expletive], with his whole, "Well, the is an "I" in win", even though he wouldn't have won jack [expletive] without Scottie Pippen. Why can't he ever show some class instead of being a little [expletive]?He stated that he didn't win anything without Pippen. Did you not hear it? You're the only one on this Earth that doesn't think Jordan is the best in the game. Bird, Magic, Barkley, Shaq, even Wilt has stated that Jordan is the greatest to touch a basketball. Coaches have stated it (from JVG all the way to Sloan and Daly). Everyone in attendance last night knew it. ESPN declares it without hesitation. MJ was simply making a joke as an excuse as to why he was averaging 37 PPG at one point. A good excuse, actually. It's amazing the length you'd go to bash Michael. His teammates, opposing coaches, his rivals, almost everyone I can think of that's somehow affiliated with the league...all of them would disagree with you when you say Jordan wasn't the greatest, and that he was overrated, especially when he was able to drop 40 points at 40 years old, in a newer era, and he's still taking guys out in practice back in Charlotte.
