The Goods
New Orleans is looking for depth in the frontcourt. With use of mid-level and bi-annual exceptions, the Hornets can spend up to $7.4 million on free agents. The Hornets could sign one or two free agents using just their mid-level exception, which is expected to be set at $5.6 million. Brandon Bass and Joe Smith are amongst the club's top targets. Other free-agent power forwards/centers the Hornets could pursue are former Hornet Chris Andersen, Drew Gooden, Stromile Swift, Rasho Nesterovic, Mikki Moore, Antonio McDyess, David Lee and Channing Frye. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/60226/20090630/hornets_looking_for_big_man_in_free_agency/
Warren2ThaG
Rasho or McDyess would help them
kadillak
Hmm...I wonder if we can work a sign & trade deal that'll get us Lee and send them Tyson and Daniels. Of the available FAs, Brandon Bass is who I want. Love his energy, plus he's an LSU boy so it'll help ticket sales and such.

Cleveland's Finest
Drew Gooden has the most experience and you saw what he could do as a starter in Cleveland....While Bass would be returning to NOH again and he was good in Dallas, Gooden's shooting abilities would help Hilton Armstrong or whoever is playing Center do their thing. I'd personally rather Bass.
