LMAO that dude is playing some weak, off-ball D.

Gameplay and the computer AI looks AMAZING, though. OMG, I can't wait. Everything except the commentary looks awesome (it's better than before, but I think I'm still going to immediately go to preferences and turn the commentary off when I get the game).

I'm only worried about Kobe posting up and scoring that easily. He got him 15 feet away, and ended up right under the basket. I'm not sure if that's just because of the bad defense being played or what...but if any guard can post up like that, and end up directly under the rim that quickly, that's going to suck.

It's not like he was posting up Sun Yue.

I can tell he was playing on an easy difficulty. Plus, this guy was playing terrible D, anyway. In this game, it's easier to score when a computer is guarding you vs a human. Kobe would have had a lower chance of scoring if this dude actually used West when Kobe was posting. Easy Mode = higher % on shots, computer D = worse D. You get the picture.

But even if it is that easy to score with high rated players, you have to at least appreciate the progress 2k has made, and how close to real life the video game has become.

If it aint better don't buy it.

PS3 games are expensive.

They completely re-did the gameplay, animations, and computer AI, plus they added the My Player mode - the undrafted rookie experience, and also did a complete overhaul of the online system where every mode in the game can be played online. All of the previous 2k NBA games are a joke compared to this one.

It's definitely a step up in every aspect. If you aren't a big xbox live player or don't want to spend too much money then I would just download the most up to date rosters on 2k9 and play that. We aren't going to see any drastic changes in basketball games from this point on.

2k9 isn't updating their rosters anymore. Same thing with 2k8 a year ago. They stop updating as soon as the playoffs are over.

Personally I don't see how this isn't a drastic change. I can feel the difference in the gameplay in the draft combine, and it looks much different to me in the YT video. If anything, it's hard to see how they will pull off much drastic changes for 2k11 after the standards 2k10 has just set.

No I meant like downloading a user created roster, which are most commonly up to date rosters. I'm sure there will be numerous people who continue to play 2k9 while 2k10 is out and will still update rosters.

oh, ok. I looked at some of these, and ratings for rookies are normally pretty biased, and created players all look really similar. I suppose it could be the next best thing if you don't want to spend money on 2k10, but I'd hardly call it a good alternative, especially since 2k10 has the improved graphics and so much more depth to player ratings (like ball handling is divided into strong hand ball handling, weak hand, and ball control ratings, and its ranged from 25-100 instead of 50-100). The animations and signature styles are have also changed and improved dramatically. Kobe doesn't just shoot like Kobe anymore, but he fades away from his left and right shoulder like Kobe, he hook shots like Kobe, he cross-over's like Kobe, behind-the-back like Kobe, sweats like Kobe... (you get the point). Same thing goes for even the role players. Plus, in 2k10, it's not just the much improved gameplay to look forward to, but all the other added modes and online play as well.
