Guest N4S
This dude is going to throw a ridiculous amount of cash to Lebron. In my mind there is a extremely slim chance he DOESN'T go to the Nets. ========================================== http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AtGBT65n0rHAKxgE5HpAAMI5nYcB?slug=aw-lebronnets092309&prov=yhoo&type=lgns Edited September 24, 2009 by N4S
Diesel
I still think he will stay in Cleveland. Not going to lie though for LeBron going to Jersey looks like the best move. Unlike NY Jersey will actually have a ton of talent surrounding him with Devin Harris, Courtney Lee, Brook Lopez. All they'd be missing is a Varejao/Haslem type PF and those are a dime a dozen. With that team all the veterans will want to go to that team to win it big like they did with Boston. If NJ gets LeBron they will be a very very scary team. Universe
Main thing is to spend the money wisely. Yes the arena is smart but signing players just for the sake of signing isn't smart. If Thorn gets replaced we better hope that he is replaced with someone who is willing to know when to stop and when to step in front of this owner. Cleveland's Finest
Money doesn't equal titles. LeBron, Lee, and Harris aren't enough to get it done. I'm sure LeBron doesn't wanna go through 3 years before he establishes an elite team in the Nets and still with no title.

I'm sure LeBron doesn't wanna go through 3 years before he establishes an elite team in the Nets and still with no title.Yea, but what if, let's say, LeBron gets in contact with Bosh and they decide to get together in NJ to meet up with Harris, Lee, Lopez, and Yi? Think THAT will take 3 years? With all the possibilities, though, I'm willing to bet all the key Free Agents in a hyped up 2010 FA class will wind up staying home. Put him on any team and they havea chance to win but put him with Harris and Lopez and you have a contending team IMO.
Cleveland's Finest
If you put LeBron on the Nets, they'll be like the Heat are now with Dwayne Wade. They make the playoffs, but aren't elite. Maybe a 4 seed yearly is all fo a few years until they fully have rebuilt the team.
Teletopez
If you put LeBron on the Nets, they'll be like the Heat are now with Dwayne Wade.Dwyane Wade does not have another all-star on his side. James would with Harris. In addition to that, Lopez impressed more than Beasley did. They wouldn't be like the Heat.

Cleveland's Finest
Lopez is worse than Shaq and Z. He's better than Andy I'll say. West is better thanLee.....are you kidding me? And look at the Wizards. Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler and Gilbert Arenas. When they have been in tact they still haven't proven to be elite. Talent isn't always the issue. The Cavs have spent more than 5 years assembling this team. It'll take a hell of a lot more time if he goes to NJ.

The fact is, if LBJ cannot win with shaq this year, consider him gone. By the start of the '10/'11 season, Brooke Lopez and Courtney will also have improved, and with the latest issues surrounding Delonte, it's not even sure he will return to the team. They have no idea what to do with him. And did you seriously say Z is better than Brooke?

We're comparing LeBron's team last year that racked up a whole lot of wins with not that great of a supporting cast, versus the Nets team he would be going to in 2010 which would have more talent around LeBron. Maybe a 4 seed yearly is all fo a few years until they fully have rebuilt the team. No, that wouldn't happen. Harris is a better PG than Chalmers, Lopez is a better C than O'Neal, along with that LeBron will have Yi who will have developed and also Lee, the guy who dunked on him twice. But let's just hope LeBron will get over it and won't be sore when thinking back at that moment.
Klashnekoff
Well it's obvious how i feel about this .. Harris is a top 4-5 point in league, he is a easy 25 ppg scorer and dishes well in Lawrence Franks offense. Lebron is that added dominant force on offense which we need to overwhelm our defensive stats to make them a non factor.. Lopez also is gonna be a top 5 center in next 2 years, he already had streaks of 18, 10 and 2 during the previous season.. thats a rookie. He is ready to step it up and get the paint hot. Both 80 % from the line...Z 39% 3 pt shooter, Lopez no 3 pt at all. Is it that shocking that Lopez isn't clearly ahead of Z?

You come in here trying to compare a veteran of the game to a rookie.. Not to mention at that you were wrong because you proved it right there to us. Lopez is better then Z. Face that fact that Z won't get better but Lopez will and not to forget to mention that Lopez had a run of 18, 9 and 2 during the season like Bynum did and he got no love. Bynum however got love for putting up same numbers for 2 weeks because he plays for L.A. but thats another discussion for another time .. Sorry dude but you have no point at all. OldChili
I don't agree with Klashnekoff often, but he does have a point. Starting 5:HarrisLeeLeBron YiLopez Bench (considering most players return): Rafer Alston, Josh Boone, Sean Williams, Terrence Williams, Bobby Simmons, Jarvis Hayes, Trenton Hassell, Keyon Dooling, Chris Douglas-Roberts, and Tony Battie. I'm not saying that it's going to happen, but if it does that's one scary team.

s.t.a.t.
Money doesn't equal titles. LeBron, Lee, and Harris aren't enough to get it done. I'm sure LeBron doesn't wanna go through 3 years before he establishes an elite team in the Nets and still with no title. How would that not get it done, thats a better team then what you currently have. I mean lebron having to completely take over the game in the playoffs because he has teammates who cant score? Lee did well in playoffs in a starting role as a rookie even guarding Kobe. Lee, Harris, and Lopez are hella young and will only get better. The only thing missing is that hustling 4 man. Im not sure how NJ bench really looks, but it probably is decent compared to Clevelands. I think the only thing that would keep Lebron in cleveland is because that is where his legacy started and where he is known as being from. Klashnekoff
I think the money will eventually sway him over, we have the most cap space out of all teams in 2010 after all. People forget though about guys like Yi Jianlian, Chris Douglas Roberts, Rafer Alston and Sean Williams who all can contribute also if Lebron arrives. Lee is going to be big at the SG, Harris is already a superstar in his own rights, he was averaging most year 25ppg and Lopez will be a dominant center in the league, easy 18 ppg. We'll get it done if we land Lebron. Trust.
