MainEv3nt
http://www.pastapadre.com/2009/09/24/nba-2k10-player-ratings Operation Sports has posted up screenshots that display all the player ratings in NBA 2K10. As mentioned in the earlier article about Kevin Durant, expect some strong reactions as they will appear to be very low outside of the superstars. You can check out and comb through the wide array of screenshots at OS here and below I’ve listed some notable names and their overall ratings and continue on for more. Please note this is not the full list of players in order just some of the names that people might be most interested in seeing. Poe
Considering that it's 25-100 now, the standard for a high rating is a bit different. An 80 rating probably defines an all star versus the 90 rating standard in 2k9. Comparing players, though, it does feel somewhat in the right order. I wouldn't be so quick to judge the ratings, anyway, until we've actually had a chance to use these players.

Poe
rajon rondo is rated higher then dirk. nuff said.Dirk is trash on D, and Rajon averaged nearly a triple double in the playoffs. Comparing skill by skill, Rajon has a more complete set, minus the post up and shooting ability. It makes sense that Rondo's rated a bit higher, although I'm sure Dirk is much easier to score with. Mac Dre
rondo's good and all, but he's not the 10th best player in the nba.
Dash
Wow these are awful.
magicbalala245
Wow Tracy has completely fallen off the map. And how is Arenas better then Durant without even playing a full season after his surgery. I can pretty much agree with the other ratings. but Arenas > Durant right now. I can't say that
kingfish
LOLZ Kobe > Lebron latur.
Legacy
Vince is an 81. Rondo higher then way too many people, including two on his team (Pierce and Allen).
Poe
rondo's good and all, but he's not the 10th best player in the nba.If he averages anything this season like what he put up in the playoffs (17ppg, 10apg, 10rpg, 2.5spg, and ranked #7 in efficiency rating at +25.5), then yes, he could definitely be considered a top 10 player in the NBA. Legacy
It's kind of like the NBA Live ratings. The ratings for players are hella low, and the elite players are in the mid 90s.
Dash
I'm doing some serious rating adjustments if I ever buy this.
Poe
The ratings may look suspect to a lot of you, but as I said, wait until you get the game and actually play with these players before you judge. I flipped through the pictures this guy was showing, and he did an association mode. At the end of the simulated season, the top 5 scorers were Wade (32.4 PPG), Granger (30.2 PPG), LeBron (29.0 PPG), Bryant (28.7 PPG), and C. Anthony (28.4 PPG). Are you still sure that these ratings are wrong? It wasn't just their points, either, but their all around stats were very close to how they are in real life. D. Wade, for example, had 32 PPG, 4 RPG, 6 APG, and 3 SPG. Granger had 30.2 PPG, 5 RPG, 1 APG, and 1.5 SPG. Is that not somewhat close to what you would expect from these guys next season? BTW, Rondo averaged 14 PPG, 5 RPG, 11 APG, and 2.5 SPG in the simulated season. Yea, the ratings are bogus alright. Celtics3420
I agree with Poe. Ratings are deceiving, especially with the array of things that account into a player's ratings now. Rodno is at 87, but im sure he's not gonna drop 30/7/12 a season on anyone. They have the elites right(Kobe, Wade, Bron, CP3), and everyone else is scattered. These arent even the full ratings. We can't judge a game's ratings system until we've played the game.

His Greatness
2K shafted Dirk again. And I think LeBron should at least be rated the same as Kobe. Also, wtf Rondo? Major rating edits are in order.
Poe
2K shafted Dirk again. And I think LeBron should at least be rated the same as Kobe. Also, wtf Rondo? Major rating edits are in order.I checked and Dirk has a 90 offensive rating and a 63 defensive rating. He has an A+ inside game and an A outside game. Despite his low OVERALL rating, I'm sure that you can still manage to realistically get 25 and 10 with him. LeBron vs Kobe has always been arguable. I like the updated ratings cause now it separates the superstars' ratings a bit, instead of CP3, Wade, LeBron, and Kobe all having the same grade of 99 overall. A 99 rated player should be for someone who is just about perfect in the game of basketball at their position, and I'd say Kobe is the closest out of all the players today. WTF Rondo? He averaged a triple double in the playoffs. He's going to have a high skill rating in all of the major skills for a guard (and any position, really) - passing, ball handling, pound-for-pound rebounder, stealing, man defense, awareness (leadership), etc. etc. Maybe at first glance a mid 80s rating seems high for him, but if you think about all the little details, it makes sense that he has a high rating. Players like Nash and Dirk appear to have low ratings because their trashy defensive ratings balance out the high offensive ratings. I'm sure that Nash is somewhere in the 90s on offense as well, and a 50-60 rating defense would balance that out to 80 overall. Make sense? A player like Rondo who has a somewhat high offensive rating AND a somewhat high defensive rating, plus rebounding, will appear to have an abnormally high overall rating, but I can almost guarantee you his scoring skill set will be just as one-dimensional as real life. I'm going to say this one last time, but don't judge the book by the cover. Actually use the players before you decide if the ratings are messed up or not. YugoRocketsFan
I heard that Ginobili is A- on defense while Shane Battier is a B+. This is madness.
