Well in Colombia, I'm in school from 7am to 4 pm. I also gotta go on Saturdays from 8am to 12 pm.

If I was in Canada, I'd only be going from 8am to 2 pm. So he does have a point..

Yeah but you live in a 3rd world country that relies on cocaine to build the economy.

We live in the US, a 1st world country which is based on business, agriculture and industrialism.

Education is overrated.

Some truth to that. Some kid in my school is a complete idiot, and does not even attempt to give a crap about school. His family is rich and owns a business though, so basically he can just walk his way into tons of money.

Relies on cocaine to build the economy? Yeah, okay. It's funny how people think thats what Colombia is all about..drugdealing and [expletive] like that.

whatever..you dont know nuuuttin about Colombia excluding cocaine so why even bother.

Just saying though..the educacion where I go to school here..is 10x harder and better than any I had when I lived in the US and Canada.

What is it then? A big shanty town that relies on agriculture and having advanced technology?

I dont know a lot about Colombia, but I heard cocaine-trafficking is huge there and they have really hot women. Which is surely true.

Just because an education is harder doesnt mean its obviously better, having school be longer and more difficult doesnt make you more educated, its the way you teach it, theres bad teachers who give tons of homework and good teachers that give barely any homework.

Drugdealing is a big thing, yes...theres drugdealers here making huge amount of money, and our government is doing everything in their power to catch them. But to say our economy relies on it? Um..no. what about coffee, coal, petroluem...etc which I'm pretty sure are our main exports. Plus, Colombia's economy has been growing rapidly lately since the recession in 1999 which forced me and family to leave.

And well..when generalizing, obv the educacion in the US is better..but where I go to school right now, I can say without a doubt that the education is better. I cant explain it to you since you havent been to school here or anything, but you just have to trust me on that one.

I dont have faith for anything, id like to see your evidence as to why your education is better and the statistics behind it that show this proof of how the Colombian education is better, your situation could just be a special one.

Adding hours to the school day is bogus..there are many kids out there that are plenty smart. One of the main reasons? They have time after school to study and stuff. If you make school last until like 6 then you barely have time to study, do hw, and socialize. Basically we would be like robots, wake up, go to school, do hw, go to sleep, and wake up and do it all over again for weeks and weeks.

I don't see why anyone would agree to this. Imagine going to school from 8-6 for 7 days a week. How depressed would you be? You can't go to the movies, you can't go to a party, you can't hang out with your friends...you social life would suck and any after school activities such as sports would suck because everyone would be tired from school.

But by doing that, you might hate your life for a year, but make a [expletive] ton more money in the future.

I already said that US has the better educacion when comparing it to Colombia. But my school's educacion, mine, which is one of the best schools in our state, is 10x better than any I would/have had if I still lived in US or Canada. So yeah...mine would be a special case.

But yeah, people see Colombia as a country full of drugdealing, terroism..etc. It's really not..its full of pasion, loving, and hardworking people..etc. Not to sound all gay..but I just wanna clear that up.
