Guest N4S
Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva flew to Detroit on Wednesday morning for a meeting with Pistons president Joe Dumars. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the pair are "moving rapidly toward deals" with the club. Gordon is a restricted free agent, which means the Bulls can match any offer he receives, while Villanueva is unrestricted. Source
Cleveland's Finest
Detroit isn't going to sign everyone. They are waiting for the 2010 season too. Their primary goal was Ben, so I think they'll meet his demands and Charlie will sign elsewhere.
Guest N4S
They want to sign both. They would rather have Hedo and Ben but they wont be able to afford both. As for 2010. I really don't think Detroit is preparing to sign Bosh, Wade, Melo, or Lebron just for the fact that these players will want to go to a flashing nicer city. Detroit is the slums my man. Not that attractive of a city. We all know that.
Universe
So the whole point of trading a star like Billups was to fill the roster with Gordons and the Charlies of the NBA?
Guest N4S
Do you really believe that? They made a mistake of trading Billups. We all know this as well as them. Right now I believe they are focused on next year at this time.
Cobb
If Ben Gordon does end up going to the Pistons then the Bulls just got MUCH MUCH weaker.
Guest Nissan
Gordon to the Pistons for 5 years, 50 million.
Guest N4S
If Gordon signs. Where does RIP go? Do we trade him for a big man?
BlueDevil
ya i dont see the point of adding gordon unless Rip is out of detroit.
The Next Knick
They'll still be around an 8th seed with no legitimate big man.
JMEWLS
According to CBS sports, this is now official. Ben Gordon signed a contract worth 55 million over 5 years and Charlie Villanueva signed a contract for about 35 million over 5 years also. Just thought I'd mention that.
