It's inevitable. Ron is born to chuck. There's nothing we can do for him now..

Ron knows his role on this team and Kobe will put him in check, if something goes wrong.

Why is it that when Allen Iverson says "this season is not about me, it's about the team," people throw that under the bus because of the way people have always seen Allen Iverson, but when Ron Artest says something regarding his role on the team its all good.

Because Ron and Allen are in two completely different situations. Iverson is counted on for being sort of a role model to the young guys, while Ron Artest has a smaller role of filling the void for Ariza.

In Ron's case, there are more reasons to believe he's going to change his ways than just from his word. There are many differences between his situation in Houston and LA. In Houston he was much more counted on for being a scoring option in the absence of T-Mac and Yao, while in LA he has a player that has already established himself as possibly the best player of the decade plus a current top 3 power forward. Also, in LA, by salary alone Phil and Kobe both have a lot more influence over Ron, plus Ron isn't needed as much in LA as he was in Houston and Sacramento. If Luke Walton or Lamar Odom was to start at the 3, LA would STILL be a contender.

Iverson, on the other hand, is expected to be The Answer in bringing Memphis a playoff spot this year, so there is no guarantee in how AI is going to handle it. If you are rooting for the Grizzlies, you can only hope that he will stay true to his word.

All Iverson has said is that he is going to do all in his power to help the Grizzlies win and he wants to help the young players become better players. When he says this, people bring up the Detroit situation without knowing the absolute nightmare Detroit was at the time.

Because Artest plays for the Lakers. They'll see once it happens.
