YugoRocketsFan
No popularity numbers? Isn't the topic saying how PS3 sales are going to surpass 360's? Doesn't that completely contradict your argument? It doesnt contradict my argument because i made the thread to show that the PS3 will eventually outsell the 360 not to claim thats it better or superior, personally I think Xbox fan boys criticize the ps3 too much and it gets really annoying when they mention things that arent true. PapaDoink
I have one friend out of the 20 friends that I know in real life that I play xbl with so thats why I prefer the 360.
Lemon
Lol Halo 3 is 360s best game based on overall gameplay. Nothing really comes close on the PS3. It's smooth control and online system works really well. But basically, 360 has had better years than PS3 riding on the momentum of it's initial launch and a few good games like Gears and Halo. However, it seems like it's slowing down. PS3 had a horrible launch and until now, they've been running mostly on cross console games with very few exceptions. Overall, it seems that the PS3 is starting to make a run starting now with the release of the slim, uncharted, and god of war.

MGS did it, Final Fantasy did it, and Uncharted 2 creators say they want to expand to more than the ps3. They all know the real money is in the 360, more users will buy it, more users will play it online. Once again though, people buy it because of their friends. If there are millions of users that own a 360 and plan on staying it, the PS3 sales won't go up in the future because the 360 already has that crowd locked up. 360 also is aiming towards casual gamers and children, whereas the PS3 is for an older crowd. PS3 also is selling a lot faster since its price cut, if PS3 came out on same day and same price as 360, PS3 would be way ahead of x box, but x box's advantage isn't that much, since the last estimates had Box up by 5-6 million and that's way back in August, PS3 has been outselling the 360 by a crap load since the slim came out and I am defenitely sure the PS3 will eventually outsell the 360. Cobb
lol....very intelligent post, my IQ increased by 20. Halo 3 is the most overrated game of all time and Killzone 2 >How is it overrated?
YugoRocketsFan
How is it overrated? People act like its the best game ever, but its boring, I seriously dont know how Halo is even popular, its a very insipid game, and dont call me a Xbox hater because I think Gears of War is an amazing game and probably 20x better than Halo. It's actually harder then most shooting games out, which is why some people tend to go to Call of Duty since it takes practically no skill what-so-ever. fish7718
Thats because there is no lag in PS3, more xbox fan boy propaganda to demonize the PS3.Lmao, you are so immature and clueless. I am not making this up. My roommate last year has PS3 and I have played it often. It took like 5 minutes to find matches online in COD4 as opposed to like 5 seconds on Xbox. The host would lag out of the game about 25% of time it was terrible. The system of the friends list was also very irritating. 50 dollars every 13 months really isn't a big deal at all. Thats what less than 1 dollar a week lol. So if you can't spare less than 1% of you paycheck a week yeah PS3 is for you. Xbox is just clearly better to those who have owned both, if you can live with it breaking down once in a while. PS3 is also not immune to errors too. I know many people who's PS3's have broken as well. So yeah if you want to spend 10 dollars more on bluray movies go with PS3 everyone else take the Xbox. Ok good, your roomate probably had a seriously crappy connection or something because I played Call of Duty: World at War at my friend's house online and it had no lag and it didnt even take a minute to find a game. I have also owned both the 360 and PS3 at some point and I sold the 360? Why? The PS3 controllers recharge themselves, free online, the online is wireless and I had less problems with the PS3 than the 360. Im sure we all know friends who's systems broke, but the failure rating on the 360 is terrible, 1/3 wtf? Theres another reason so many people went from 360 to PS3. I even play Resistance online with 40 people and it has no lag ever and ive never been disconnected. If you have good connection then PS3 online will never be a problem. Poe
The PS3 controllers recharge themselves, free online, the online is wireless and I had less problems with the PS3 than the 360.You can get rechargeable controllers for xbox, you can get a wireless adapter for the xbox, and my 360 has worked perfectly fine for me since I got it. Matchmaking in xbox is pretty quick with most games, but it ain't free. So I guess you win there.

You have to buy an adapter for those rechargable controllers, which costs extra money, wireless adapter is also a lot, it was 87-100$ at the time so I dunno how much it is now. I suppose PS3 still has its advantages with the whole blue ray thing (which could be a reason for it to sell more than xbox, cause it's more appealing to parents since they can watch their blue ray movies without buying a separate dvd player). Overall, I think PS3 probably has a better overall console than the 360 in terms of what it can do, but the rest is just opinion. Online experience is normally based on the quality of your connection, but which company makes better quality games and which console has better controllers is all opinion. Determining which console to buy for someone new to video games probably depends on whether they think blue ray player is a factor and which console most of his/her friends have. Basically thats the reason people buy the system, no other reasons, I easily switched from 360 to PS3 because I didnt wanna go buy batteries for controllers, my room is too far from a router (so online is mandatory) and a majority of my friends do have PS3. reno
System wise, ps3 is much better built. 360 has better software and easier for programmers to develop for. Xbox live is a great system, but psn aint that bad either, much improved then what it was a few years ago. I have both systems, but play 360 more. Better controller and xbl. You must have been dropped on the head as a child or something, honestly.
