EastCoastNiner
HOLY [expletive]ING [expletive]!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are the umps trying to give the L.A. Angels the [expletive]ing game?!?!?!?!!?!??!! I'm not saying that the L.A. Angels wouldn't be winning without the blown calls, but what the [expletive] is going on?!?!!?!? kingfish
Bad calls on both sides. Fist base umpire is pretty bad, as well as home plate. Sox got a catchers interference call that put runners on 1st and 2nd when inning should have been over, replay clearly showed no interference. These umps are terrible. The catcher interference was a lot closer than the other calls even though I didn't think it was interference, and I'd love to see the play by Chone Figgins at Thrid-Base again because I'm not convinced that he made the tag. He tagged the base, not the runner.
Phightins
CB Bucknor is an idiot. I seriously do not know A. how he has a job, or more importantly B. why he is allowed anywhere near a postseason game.
kingfish
Can we please focus on the game please? The umpires have had no effect on the outcome of this game at all with an exception to pitch counts.

The umpires have had no effect on the outcome of this game at all with an exception to pitch counts. Did I say say anything about any particular play in the game? I said CB Bucknor is a moron and the worst umpire in Major League Baseball. Care to prove me wrong?
kingfish
No I dont care to prove you wrong, its pointless to even talk about it.

kingfish
Ha, Angels won! Told you Lackey was a true ace, a postseason ace. 7.1 shutout innings, 4 k's, 4 hits. I know Lester was hurt by that 3 run home run, but we were all over him tonight. Rivera and Aybar also had doubles against him, and we loaded the bases against him, Abreu walked 3 times against him (4 walks total!!). Bostons lineup really not scary anymore, their patient but really dont hit for average and probably wont hit many homers against us especially in our park. I cant believe we shut them out, I expected great pitching but not that great. They really had no solid hits tonight, I dont think they ever reached the gaps or the wall against Lackey. Goin to game 2 tomorrow. Weaver has dominated at home this year, Beckett is terrible at Angel Stadium the last 2 years. I expect another win. bigdog17k
wow we are going to get smashed in this series -_- Eh, Beckett needs to have a really strong outing to even keep this series alive for the Red Sox. If Beckett doesn't do it, well I think it's gonna be Angels in 3.
Warren2ThaG
Will be 2-0 Angels by days end.

kingfish
Awesome game! Like I said, Weaver is dominant at home and was again tonight. And 1-9 Angels lineup is much better then the Red Sox. I took some pics from the game hope you enjoy! http://i33.tinypic.com/6rkbav.jpg was here most of the game, amazing view, moved down here in the 9th to watch the final outs http://i33.tinypic.com/333ir8k.jpg Ortiz batting vs Fuentes http://i36.tinypic.com/6qf7es.jpg http://i37.tinypic.com/5f3rf4.jpg http://i37.tinypic.com/2dj6lib.jpg Great game, Kazmir should get the sweep in game 3. EastCoastNiner
Well, we'll see if Scott Kazmir can win a very important game at Fenway Park with an extremely loud crowd, with Clay Bucholtz pitching. If the Boston Red Sox get the good Clay Bucholtz, I think there is a very good chance that the Boston Red Sox will win, but if it is the bad Clay Bucholtz, the game will be over in the first inning. The Boston Red Sox need to get their offense going because they can be VERY good, but they are cold right now.
