Built Ford Tough
this whole deb and dexter shit is too weird..... Yeah, I'm not too thrilled about it. Just seems off to me. I am liking this whole Louis thing, though. Really interested to see where they take this as I definitely expect him to play a huge role in the penultimate season, setting up the final season for the long anticipated Dex vs. Deb/Miami Metro showdown. At least that is what I think/hope will happen in the final two seasons. Of course, all theories can change after the season finale airs. Guru
Eh, tbh I saw that ending coming like 10 min into the episode. Still a decent season. I'm not sure I like the turn the shows taking with this Deb and Dexter thing though

Built Ford Tough
Here is a 2 minute trailer for season 7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NzpnjVmuCA&feature=share Season looks like it will be epic. PS: There are some spoilers in the promo, athough it is nothing serious or surprising since most of us speculated them in this thread while watching this past season. Here is also the first 2 minutes of the season for anybody who wants to watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1kJsZbFU78&feature=related I don't know much about guest stars, but Yvonne Strahovski wil have a recurring role. Built Ford Tough
I liked it. I know it is only 1 episode but it felt more like the first four seasons of Dexter than the last two. Even though I'm not like a lot of fans who loathed the last two seasons and enjoyed them, I can fully admit that they are clearly not up to the standards of the 1st, 2nd or 4th season. I liked all of the references to the past seasons (ice truck killer, Deb's flashbacks, Doakes, etc...) and how they all tied together in the present day. I think that the Ukranian mob storyline has potential to be very good and LaGuerta being on a mission to prove Doakes wasn't the ITK and subsequently investigating Dexter (whether she knows it or not) will be interesting as well. I'm looking forward to what Hanna McKay (Yvonne Strahovski's character) is like since I've read that she is one of the more interesting guest stars that they have had (although, that isn't exactly hard considering how boring Prado and Lumen were). I believe she is introduced in episode 3. Lastly, the whole computer nerd character going stalker crazy on Dexter, which we all saw coming, seems like it will be the 4th main arc of the season. I'm not as stoked about that one since I knew it was coming for nearly 2 years, but it should still be decent. All in all, it was an encouraging episode, although the last two seasons started off well too only to diminish in quality as it progressed. Hopefully this season doesn't go that route. With the framework they've laid during this first episode, I'm fairly confident that they'll be able to maintain the quality that was set with this first episode. Lemon
I kind of want to watch this new season but haven't watched the last one. Should I just skip over or is the last season actually worthwhile?

Sħãlïq™
It's a shame they didn't do more with Rita and her kids the way it is in the books (that the show is based on).

TheHutch
Yeah it was a pretty good finale. My prediction for next season (the final season): With how emotional Deb is, there is no way she can keep this together. This will eat her alive all throughout next season and I really think she could end up taking her own life. i think Batista will end up not retiring once he finds out LaGureta is dead/missing (the one scene where he told her about retirement, you could tell he still had feelings for her) and he will close in on getting Dexter. No idea what will happen with Hannah. Could they be setting up a Quinn/Jamie relationship or was that just random flirting at the party? They made sure to show Jamie was with Harrison 24/7 this season, so maybe they could set up something where if Deb/Dex die, then Quinn/Jamie could raise Harrison? All just complete guesses and all are probably wrong, but it's fun to think about, lol. Edited December 17, 2012 by TheHutch
Lemon
Yeah it was a pretty good finale. My prediction for next season (the final season): I dunno about your prediction on Quinn. Agree with most everything else though. I doubt Quinn will stay with Jamie. Since breaking up with Deb, Quinn has been spiraling down, and it eventually led to murder. So i think next season he's going further down. Maybe the Quinn and Jamie pairing would lead Quinn closer to Dexter. I hope Jamie stays forever though. She's too cute to leave the show. Also interested in Hannah's new role in the next season. Next season final season?
Built Ford Tough
Next season final season? Yeah it is. Overall I thought it was a pretty weak finale (at least in terms of nothing really surprising or unexpected happened), but I really enjoyed this season as a whole. A nice bounce back season after two average ones, at least in comparision to the excellent 4th season. I think the two main guest starts this year (Yvonne Strahovski and Ray Stevenson) were both superb. By far the two best guest stars since Lithgow in season 4. They both added a lot to the show in their own ways. I was starting to lose faith in the show (don't get me wrong, it was still good but not as good as it once was) but this season has restored my faith in the series and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how it ends next year, although it will be a bittersweet moment for sure. NomarFachix
Just caught myself up on the past season, really enjoyed it. Hannah was a super dynamic character who added a lot to the season, and so was Sirko. Two characters Dexter related to on at least some level. Can't wait to see the final season.
