ALCS Discussion: Angels vs Yankees

Girardi is going to take quite a bit of heat, and rightfully so. I know hindsight is 20/20, but in an extra inning game I'd have wanted to get as many innings out of Robertson as possible. Not to mention he was dealing and had only thrown 11 pitches.

Girardi gets a bit too crazy with matchup histories. I just hope that doesn't become too much of a problem. I still like Girardi's handling of the bullpen over Torre's in his last couple of seasons with us.

Yeah. Going for matchups would have been fine in the 7th or 8th in a tie game, but in the 11th, didn't seem like the right call. Of course, had Aceves gotten Kendrick/Mathis out this would be a non issue.

I hate giving up 2-out runs. That's how the game was tied and how the game was won.

Both teams also have to be better driving in runs with a runner on third with less than 2 outs. Sloppy series so far.

I'd say the Yankees more. They're 0 for their last 20, maybe even worse, with RISP, and they just played two games at home. They haven't produced runs as much as they've hit HR's. I mean I have no problem if we win the World Series that way, but I don't know if we can win the WS that way.

It's stupid with all of the comments about t.v.'s being out just because the New York Yankees are good.

I hate them, but some of you are just annoying as hell.

Is it me or does Donavan McNabb have more NFC Championship losses than the New York Yankees have World Sreies?

Donovan*

and no you are wrong he has 4 of them and the Yankees have 26 WS. Not even close.

Yeah but the Angels too they have made a lot of mental errors (ie. Bobby Abreu) and actual errors. Surprising from both of these teams.

i really dont know who i want to win this series. i would love to see the yankees not get to the world series, but there would also be absolutely nothing better then the phils beating the yankees in the world series. but it would also really really suck to lose to the yankees

I would love a Phillies Yankees World Series, but I honestly don't care what the matchup is as long as the Phillies are in (which still isn't set in stone yet, despite the attitude that many Phillies fans have after last night).

let's go angels! Kazmir better kick [expletive] tonight or I'm gonna be pissed at him, as if I wasn't mad enough after the Boston game

Yeah, I dunno but reading this made me laugh kinda.

I hope he does well enough to keep it close, and make it a good game.
