Amare320
The Atlanta Hawks have waived centers Garret Siler and Courtney Sims, and guard Mario West, effective today, according to Executive Vice President/General Manager Rick Sund. West, who spent the last two seasons with the Hawks (recording 117 regular season games), saw action in five preseason contests, putting in 2.2 ppg, 3.0 rpg and 1.0 spg. Siler played in two preseason games, averaging 0.5 ppg and 1.5 rpg, while Sims appeared in three contests and averaged 6.4 ppg and 4.4 rpg. Via Press Release I thought West would of made their roster, he was a good story, he seemed like a harder worker.
Ghost Rider
Yea, West is a bit of a surprise but shows you how deep the Hawks are this yr. I am as excited as I have been in a really long time about this team. Even the last couple of yrs I wasn't overly excited because I knew we really had no shot at winning anything for real. I think we at least have a shot this yr.
Cobb
I was hoping that West and Siler would make it. I'm going to miss all the energy and hustle West played with.
Sun Tzu
I was surprised when I saw Mario West in the topic title. Hopefully he find a team before the season starts cause his actually a pretty good player.
