YugoRocketsFan
I dont even bother reading these anymore considering I know the story of the Rockets every year, usually along the lines off, this team is missing Yao, T-Mac and Artest, everyone is young can the role players step up, will this young team be good enough to get to the playoffs, etc. These overviews are too predictable. And most of the time the predictions take a weird turn and the unexpected happens.
Poe
I was surprised by the scouting take on the Heat. Most people write off the other players on the team and say that it's all going to be Wade and nobody else. He recognizes the improvements to be expected from Beasley, Chalmers, and Cook. He respects what Eric Spoe does, and even understands the importance of Udonis Haslem. He's wrong about Jermaine, though. He expects him to continue his trend of 13 ppg in 50 games. He is finally healthy this year. He's not playing on one leg anymore. He is in much better shape and way more explosive than he's been in the past few down years he has had. I, and most people, agree with his assessment on O'Neal simply because it's been so long since he's proven he can stay healthy for a full season. Toronto fans expected him to be a top contributor too last year, and then the nagging injuries stepped in, and he only contributed one or two good games every two weeks. He's healthy now. What makes you think he'll stay healthy besides blind faith? I think Chalmers can be a starter, even though the scout disagrees. I think Chalmers' athletic traits and defensive hunger can solidify and create a good starter. He has to get smarter though. I don't agree with him on Cook though. I've never seen anything from him that makes me think of him as a valuable rotation player aside from some streaky three-point shooting. Poe
What makes you think he'll stay healthy besides blind faith?Tim Grover, 'nuff said. BTW, Daequan is more than a shooter, he's a good perimeter defender, a hard worker, and is developing into a good all-around scorer. And Chalmers is also a bit more-than-meets-the-eye. I don't think he'll start the season off with a bang, but he'll gradually turn into a legit player. Believe me, the Heat are going to surprise people this year. I think Haslem said it best: "Our motivation is that people are still counting out the Miami Heat. From what they read and watching TV, they think that teams are automatically going to be better because of the moves they made. They don't understand the game is played between the lines. So who knows how all these different moves and trades will help these teams?"
Jenneral
I pretty much agree with the Bucks analysis, especially the part that mentions not being able to win a championship by looking at our #1 pick, Bogut. I also agree that we need to limit Redd if we want to compete every night. Overall, it should be an interesting season.

With his contract, the Bucks are desperately looking to shed salary and get talent back. He'll probably be Milwaukee's next casualty. His Greatness
Good find. I'll finish up reading all of it when I'm done not watching preseason. BTW, I agree with Erick. The only thing valuable about JO is his contract. Edited October 25, 2009 by His Greatness
