Legacy
Warriors coach Don Nelson has said he's going to start veteran forward Corey Maggette at power forward. Is that a demotion for second-year forward Anthony Randolph? All sides are saying no. Nelson said he was probably going to start Maggette anyway, as he tries to create a viable second unit. Randolph said he would be back in the starting lineup once his back is healthy. Guard Monta Ellis said it will all be figured out over the next couple of days.Source Wow. Owner Real Deal Posted October 25, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted October 25, 2009 SHALIQ, WHERE YOU AT? But yeah, if Maggette is going to start, they better start him at the three. There's no point in trying to play him as a power forward, when he's your typical slasher, and one that gets to the foul line better than most anyone else in the NBA. Stupid idea. His Greatness
Those of you surprised are obviously not familiar with the brilliant machinations of Don Nelson. Shrewd moves like these are exactly why I expect Golden State to continue on the success of last season.

Klashnekoff
Wow, Don Nelson use to be a good coach .. now it's either the old age or he's just lost his mind .. Corey Maggette at PF? .. Seriously? .. The guy ain't the best rebounder, he can't score in the post, he can't block shots, he will probably get blocked on most occasions with a 6'10" or so player on him and the criteria to play that position is totally unmatched to his better areas of play like slashing and getting to the foul line. Legacy
We're not starting Law at SF, but when he plays, he'll be playing SF for the majority of his time on the court.
platoon793
I really don't get this move at all. Maggette won't be able to defend other bigger PFs in the league, like Carlos Boozer or Tim Duncan.
Legacy
I think this is just temporary. Randolph will be coming off the bench until he is 100 percent.
Knickmatic
He'll be in the opener though right?
Legacy
Either Turiaf or Maggette will start as PF tomorrow.
