EastCoastNiner
Why do these two teams have to be playing? Any other teams and I could root for a team, but not the New York Yankees, and not the Philadelphia Phillies and their cocky and obnoxious fans, as they have shown in this thread already. I hope Cliff Lee gets in trouble for pine tar during his next outing, and Mariano Rivera better not throw anymore spit-balls, that dirty little cheater. Guest N4S
Are you [expletive]ing kidding me? ^ Mr. Boston? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black when calling others cocky. Really? Sometimes i think a piece of [expletive] would cure the stupidity that comes out of your mouth. Phightins
ECN, shut up and stop being jealous. If you have such a problem, then here is an idea, don't watch the [expletive]ing games. And please spare us your opinions of the fans. Red Sox fans are not typically loved by the general population either, so you know. Anyway, tonight's lineups... Phillies:Rollins SSVictorino CFUtley 2BHoward 1BWerth RFIbanez LFStairs DHFeliz 3BRuiz C Yankees:Jeter SSDamon LFTeixeira 1BRodriguez 3BMatsui DHCano 2BHairston RFCabrera CFMolina C
Phightins
Interesting to see the lineup changes. For the Yankees, I guess it was a matter of time until they gave up on Swisher. And for the Phillies, Greg Dobbs was in the original lineup as the DH, but he was sent home with the flu. So, this bench is super thin right now. Cobb
After hearing the comments Pedro Martinez made I'm really eager to see how he does. Even if he doesn't happen to do well it's not that big of a deal since they already won one in New York which was probably the game plan going in. I know, I just hope the Phillies don't take the "this game doesn't matter, we've already accomplished everything we needed to here" approach. Yes, going home with one win is huge, but winning both of these games and taking the 2-0 stranglehold would be absolutely fantastic. In the Phillies past two 7-game series', they have won game 1, lost game 2, then won 3 straight at home, so I hope they don't have that mindset of not needing tonight's game. We cannot count on winning 3 straight against this Yankees team. Edited October 29, 2009 by Phightins09
EastCoastNiner
How are the Yankees obnoxious in this thread? I never said you guys were, it's the Philadelphia Phillies fans. Also, I'm not cocky about any Boston teams, and usually don't talk about them, so good try Paul.

I'm waiting for someone in here other than you to disagree.
