SRV
You guys think Wade will have another season like last year where he has to make all the plays all the time, or do you think this is the year a 2nd player steps up and holds Wade back to about 25-28 ppg? Flash
This season is all about where Beasley and Chalmers are after a full NBA season. If they are where they should be I think we'll be ok.
Poe
Last year, Wade had the ball in his hands almost the entire time he was on the court. This year, O'Neal and Beasley will be expected to create their own shot, and Chalmers will be a better playmaker. Wade will still be relied on quite a bit, especially in the fourth quarter, but I think as the season progresses, he won't have to dominate the ball as much as he used to. I'm not sure if this will mean less offensive stats for him or not, though. At the end of the day, what I'm most concerned with is how many Ws the Heat can manage and how far they can go into the playoffs.
platoon793
Personally, it all depends on how the supporting cast plays this year, and if they are ready to step up. I don't think that will happen. I think Beasley and Chalmers need one more year before they can become more consistent and help out the team a lot. O'Neal in my opinion is washed up. Not expecting much out of him. 15 points and 6 rebounds I'm guessing, and a block or two. I do hope though Spoelstra focused a lot on perimeter defense, because we suck at that. We were like 3rd in opponent 3pt field goal percentage, which sucks.
