AboveLegit Posted October 28, 2009 Report Share Posted October 28, 2009 First off, if anyone has any questions regarding Arenas's health, or ability to play like his former self, then GO WATCH THE GAME TAPE FROM TONIGHT. I'm tired of the critics, Arenas is out on a mission, he's playing with a huge chip on his shoulder, and he will have a monster year, mark my words. I'll be the first one to say I'm an idiot if he doesn't play at the level he played at tonight thoughout the whole year. Arenas is... - Healthy- Explosive- Better than ever- More mature- A better leader- A better passer This man was simply amazing tonight. He had a bad field goal percentage, but it wasn't horrible either. He played 39 mins, shot 10/21 from the field, dropped 9 assists, and had 29 points. Gotta love it. Secondly, our defense is good, it is not horrible. We played a very good offense tonight, we held them to 91 points, which is very admirable coming from a team who have been considered horrible the past decade. Now, Dirk did drop 34 on us, but where was Jason Kidd or Jason Terry? The Wizards are beginning to play as a unit, and that is a huge part of any great defensive team. And oh yeah, we didn't have Antawn Jamison tonight either, yet we managed to score 102 points. Not only is this the team I expected it to be, it's a team who is better than what I expected. AboveLegit Posted October 28, 2009 Author Report Share Posted October 28, 2009 His health isn't a concern anymore, the reason I'm so hyped up about this is due to the fact that Wade came back from a more severe injury and became a better player, I just know Arenas will do the same. And it showed tonight. Anything can happen, you're right, but I prefer to stick with what has happened currently, rather than looking at all the negatives and thinking of the worst possible situation. Arenas did play good. Bad field goal percentage? I didn't think so, almost 50% shooting. He started off shaky shooting the ball, but he ended the game on a high note. I saw about half of the game, flipping from that one and the CLE/BOS game (which I thought would be a blowout at first). He started off shaky shooting the ball, but he ended the game on a high note.haha yeah, I had a feeling someone would catch my mistake, at the time of me typing up this topic, I had thought he shot under 44% from the field (again, it's still not too bad) until I finally saw the boxscore. Check my Stats Posted October 28, 2009 Report Share Posted October 28, 2009 I am glad to hear this. Nothing pisses me off more than a PG who chucks shots every time down the floor. But it is one game and 20 games from now it is very possible he fades back into his old habits, or if things start going bad he stops trusting his teammates and tries to be a one man show. But this team will never legitimately contend as long as Jamison is logging major minutes at the PF slot, sorry. The guy just IS NOT A PF.
