Guest N4S
Forbes Magazine: NBA's most overpaid player is... As another NBA season opens, the Lakers are positioned well, with arguably the best player and coach in the league. Forbes magazine thinks the Lakers have something else: the most overpaid player in the league, Andrew Bynum. Tom Van Riper writes, "Leading the pack [of most overpaid players] is Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum, a first-round pick out of high school four years ago who's churned out nine points and six rebounds in 21 minutes per game as a pro." http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-random27-2009oct27,0,4135510.story

Owner Real Deal Posted October 28, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted October 28, 2009 Well, to be fair, Bynum has played one game under his new contract...and he put up 26/13. We've seen that he can give us 40 points. We've seen how he can average 13/10 when healthy, still raw. I'd say that $12.5 million this first season is fair money compared to all other centers. Phightins
I think there is a center in Philadelphia who would be more worthy of that title.
Force
I think there is a center in Philadelphia who would be more worthy of that title. How much is he getting paid neways? like 10 mil? I disagree with Bynum being the most overpaid player though...he's shown his capable of putting up big numbers when given the opportunity: its just injuries slowing down. Lkr
Isn't Marbury still getting paid?
Check my Stats
JO and T-Mac are still way more overpaid. The fact Bynum got that contract based on his upside is disgusting though. He could still become a great player though and actually be underpaid if he becomes a close to 20-10 big man one day, though that is doubtful with Kobe and Pau still there. Bynum will get his fair share of chances to score this year though as he is probably 3rd option on offense now isn't he? Hopefully Artest doesn't take shots away from him. Warren2ThaG
Would tha Grizzlies rather have Bynum or Randolph? Randolph is at 16mil.
Revis Island
JO and T-Mac, as travesey already stated.
La Bomba
Would tha Grizzlies rather have Bynum or Randolph? Randolph is at 16mil.If age wasn't a factor, yes. Randolph only has 2 years left in his contract as well. Bynum really hasn't proved he is worth over 10 million a year. He has shown potential and talent, but has also shown a lot of inconsistency and hasn't proved he can play a full season as a starter. Sun Tzu
I don't see how Bynum is overpaid at all. He wouldn't make my top 10 list of overpaid players.
