magicbalala245
That account is fake: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/210474-artests-agent-imposter-on-twitter-giving-false-information It's a lie trust me there is a analyst on TLN saying Ron didn't make a commitment to Cleveland cause he might want to come to LA There's a Cavs insider on realgm that sounded legit, says Artest met with them they asked for a commitment and he stayed on the fence. Said it's LA-Cle/Artest-Ariza and it's up to LA to choose given that Artest would not commit. Also have Artest's brother tweeting that it's LA or Cle and that LA is in the lead. The danger to LA is Toronto makes the big offer to Trevor and signs him then Artest chooses Cle over LA. But why would Artest do that given that he didn't give the Cavs a commitment? Because he prefers LA. Reason why the agent saying the account is fake cause of what Ron Artest is saying. Other wise Twitter wouldn't verify that Ron Artest as the real deal http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/8297/picture4gcc.png You still don't believe me look what Shaq has on his twitter page also. You can fine the verified account on the right side of shaq page near the top Edited July 2, 2009 by magicbalala245
magicbalala245
Looks like Artest is enjoying himself twittering not on my twit twitches. all my twiggas. i love yal http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/6369/picture5wsn.png
kingfish
Where's B at, I would like his take on this. B you always said Kobe has a lot of defensive responsibilitys on this team, but if we get Ron does that mean we can be a dominant defensive team? You have the 2 best perimeter defenders in the NBA, and if Kobe wants to roam you can have Ron shut down the other teams best player. What you think of Ron replacing Trevor, B? magicbalala245
So listen people I have a strong feeling that the agent is trying to do damage control as the damage has been done with Ron Artest saying he has left Houston. Twitter verified his account I think news outlet are getting it confused with this twitter page

Diesel
Just letting you guys know, but Artest was in Cleveland with LeBron on tuesday so don't get too excited. Ron to Cleveland has also been picking up storm. I would think that Artest would want to be that missing piece to help his team win a title, not jump on the team that just won the title. Owner Real Deal Posted July 2, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted July 2, 2009 It's not even a question: Ron Artest is a huge upgrade over Trevor Ariza. I won't even explain why. I've been talking about the positive effects Ron would bring to the triangle offense and our team on the defensive end for the last two or three seasons, hoping we'd get him. This is our chance, and we need to bust through the wall and bring him to LA immediately.
magicbalala245
Regardless of what Ron Artest did or didn't say on Twitter regarding his time being over in Houston, it's relatively clear that the Rockets aren't anywhere near as committed to bringing him back as they were before Yao Ming went down with a forever foot injury. He's got to play somewhere, and since he's friends with both Kobe Bryant and LeBron James (and since both those guys' teams could certainly use Artest), the rumors are starting to churn about L.A. and Cleveland settling into his top two destinations. Reports have been flying all day about James's Tuesday conversation with Artest, pleading for him to join forces with him and Shaq for the Cavaliers, but with the more recent news that Trevor Ariza may have priced himself out of L.A., the Lakers could be the ones who end up landing him. It's been said more than once in the two days since free agency began that superstars are better PR guys than the teams' front office could ever be. If Artest gets sold on one of those two great situations, it'll be largely due to the sway of King James and Kobe.
ChosenOne
IF Ariza ends up going to Cleveland then the Lakers will resign Odom, if he is asking for to much then they will try and go for Artest. I believe they are going to try for both Odom and Ariza very strongly first before even thinking about Artest.

The Artesticle
Shaq can have LeBron. Ron Artest says he'll take Kobe. Artest, whose versatility and toughness have made him one of the most coveted and combustible players in the NBA, told CBSSports.com Thursday that he's signing with the Lakers. "I'm definitely going to L.A. -- to sign, yeah," Artest said in a phone interview. "Lakers, Lakers, Lakers. I'm in L.A. right now." Artest said he met with Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss Thursday and previously had spoken with Lakers coach Phil Jackson. He was en route to his financial manager's office, where he planned to huddle on the phone with his agent, David Bauman, to finalize details. Artest's exuberance -- he spent the whole summer in L.A., including several appearances at Lakers home games during the NBA Finals -- got ahead of the process a bit. Other teams that made overtures for Artest -- including the Cavaliers -- have not yet been notified that Artest is signing with the Lakers. (Consider them notified.) Bauman has spoken with Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak, but parameters have not yet been agreed to. Still, it's pretty clear where Artest is going. "I don't really care about the money," Artest said. "I'll play there for nothing. ... L.A. was very interested in me, and they got me." http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/11838893/15861966 Seems legit.
