Owner Real Deal Posted October 30, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted October 30, 2009 Washington's last 50-win season came in 1979, when they lost the NBA Finals. In fact, they have not won more than 45 games since then. Do the Wizards win 50 this season? Explain.
CaliCurbStomppa
No they won't win 50 games. I think they will around 38 games or something and be in a race for the 7,8 seed.

AboveLegit
50 wins is what I'm banking on.
Sun Tzu
I'd say something around 50 wins. I think 52 or 53 or so would be their maximum though.
Erick Blasco
I'd say something around 50 wins. I think 52 or 53 or so would be their maximum though. Under. I'll go with 44.
ChosenOne
Under 50 over 40, but anything is possible when Jamison comes back.
Poe
Between 40 and 45 sounds about right to me.
Erick Blasco
Interestingly enough, the stat crunchers at basketball-reference.com have pegged the Wizards as the third worst team in the East. A lot of people are convinced they're going to instantly be contenders with everyone healthy, but I don't think they'll be able to stay totally injury-free, and just like last year they have zero depth.…Offensively, they're not going to be horrible — their top guys will certainly be efficient, and that includes the new guy, Mike Miller. So their starters are going to make shots, no doubt, but their bench is littered with poor offensive players. That's really going to drag them down, especially if the injuries come up again.…Their defense is awful. If it wasn't for Sacramento, this would be the worst D in the league, and Flip Saunders isn't going to turn it around with coaching.…It's going to come down to how healthy their Big 3 are, obviously, but this is not the same group that was a .500 team from 2004-05 through 2007-08. The supporting cast is really terrible. They're probably going to be a major disappointment.
