Smitty
Saw this being discussed and decided to ask it here. Honestly, I don't think it's really as much of a stretch as one would think. Brand just doesn't have "it" anymore.

Zolor23
I think so, according to stats, Speights has about 3 more ppg and 2 more rpg. But, watching the gmae yesterday, Speights fared way better than Brand against our big men
kingfish
He wont start. Brand has too big a contract. He deserves to start, but probably wont. If they get rid of Brand, then sure he will start.
His Greatness
He's not ready to start. Besides, it's four games in. Relax.
Amare320
Unless Brand's production continues to plummet then i really don't see Speights with a chance at starting. Boot Dalembert off at the 5 if anyone.
Diesel
I think Speights has a better chance of taking Dalembert's spot than Brands. However I think Dalembert is one of those guys that's game would shut down completely if he was given a bench role so Speights is going to have to live with coming off the bench as an offensive sparkplug. Brand hasn't been playing bad at all. His numbers look bad, but without looking at the stats sheet I would guess he was averaging more than 11-5. Given Brand's superior defense, rebounding, and basketball IQ the starting 4 spot will be his barring injury.
YoSixers
I doubt he will start this year. Brand has actually not looked that bad, especially against the Nets even though EJ inexplicably benched him for almost the entire second half. He is definitely not one of the Sixers' main problems. Dalembert has not looked horrible this season, and we cannot put him on the bench because even though I hate to say it our defense is so much better when is the floor. I still like Speights coming off the bench for now.
