kingfish
I think so. The Griz got out of a disatrous contract to Pau. And now the other Gasol in the trade is just beasting, averaging about 20 and 12 over the first three games and looks to be in great shape. Laker fans told you to just chill, Marc is startin to become a beast and now im second guessing the trade, we got the wrong Gasol.
Owner Real Deal Posted November 4, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted November 4, 2009 We won the trade because we needed a post scorer that could pass the ball to win our title. We can have all the Odoms and Bynums in the world, but Gasol is the second all-star, that missing piece, that assisted Bryant and Phil in beating an overly-talented Orlando Magic team in the Finals. Marc has always played good outside of the league, he's just been in his brother's shadow for so long, and now he's casting his own. Memphis got a good player in Marc, plus the money. It worked for them as well.
La Bomba
If the Lakers wanted to redo the trade I would probably say no. With this said, Hiesley didn't plan for this trade to end this way. No GM in the league thought Marc would turn into the player he is today. The Grizzlies got lucky.
