La Bomba
I'm slightly tempted to put Garnett at power forward before McHale, but he was past his prime when he joined the Celtics. When Garnett was in his prime, there aren't that many power forwards I would put before him, and this is coming from a guy who doesn't like Garnett. EastCoastNiner
Well, I'm assuming that these players need to have played the majority of their career with the Boston Celtics, so if that is how we are doing it, I agree with both lists so far, but I might put Paul Pierce at SG. And, if KG was eligible, then I'd put him at PF.
Owner Real Deal Posted November 8, 2009 Author Owner Report Share Posted November 8, 2009 Yeah, KG would work, but his time in Boston hasn't surpassed McHale's in terms of impact and playing ability. Overall, Garnett is the better power forward, but most of that came in Minny.

I definitely agree that Garnett is the better player than McHale was, but as a Celtic Garnett can't even touch McHale. Can anybody even argue that this 5 should be any different than what RD posted? Maybe you can make the argument for Pierce over Hondo (which I absolutely disagree with by the way) but that is really about it.
