Doing by best to give feedback from a general baseball fan's point of view, this is the first World Series since 2003 that went beyond Game 5. This is also the first time since 2002 that the team taking Game 1 did not go on to win it all. There was a change of trends, and the fact that a New York-Philly rivalry has risen is pretty awesome. The Next Knick Posted November 10, 2009 Report Share Posted November 10, 2009 Of course it's a 5 based on how it ended, but that'd be biased. Game 1- Great pitching by Cliff Lee made it a great game, not very exciting, but it's odd when you see one guy do such a great job at the highest level. Game 2- Pretty exciting, not too much hitting, but a lot of close plays and the game went down to the wire in the 9th. Game 3- The Yankees made a nice comeback, wasn't the most exciting game of the series but definitely was the turning point for New York to step up. Game 4- Probably the best game, especially with the late inning rallies from both teams, especially with CC on the mound and Utley putting up his amazing performance. Game 5- Not exciting for me, but for Phillies fans this was their hope and gave them the possibility to make a nice com back. Game 6- Exactly what the Yankees needed, but most of baseball knew the outcome after the lead grew to 6. Most baseball fans probably saw this game as boring, but being a Yankees fan I had the most butterflies during this one. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
