Cobb
RUSTON, La. – Is it cowardice or collusion? Boise State athletic director Gene Bleymaier is all but begging for a major opponent – any major opponent – to play his Broncos, particularly in 2011. He can hardly get his calls returned. Not by the SEC. Not by the Big Ten. Not by anyone. Bleymaier is making a nearly unheard of offer in college football scheduling – Boise will bring its popular, high-profile, top-10 team to any stadium in any town to play any big name team in America in 2011. And they don’t have to return the date in Idaho. So far, no one has bit. ESPN has even become involved trying to broker a deal that will almost assuredly be nationally televised. Still no luck.I heard about this while watching a game this weekend. I'm a bit surprised by this. There's bound to be someone out there willing to face them. OSUBucksfan09
Not really suprised. Boise is known for knocking out teams and in the BCS if you are in a BCS conference your out of conference can only hurt you (OSU vs USC(knocking out one of them), (Oklahoma vs BYU), (OREGON vs Boise)) and Boise is known for knocking out good teams so yeah.BCS awards teams that it shouldnt so yeah. Warren2ThaG
Boise State can beat a lot of top teams for sure, their like the NO Saints in a way.
Cobb
Oklahoma would've won if Bradford hadn't gotten injury.
OSUBucksfan09
Exactly but by playing a tough out of conference game like that they lost Bradford.
Cobb
Well, you never know. Turns out it just happened to happen when they played BYU. Plus, BYU only won by one if I remember correctly. Edited November 9, 2009 by CobbFC09
CaliCurbStomppa
Maybe Boise St will move into a different conference in few years to get some better competition?
Cobb
Ehh...I don't know about that. But to be honest, it's kind of sad that it's even come to this. The BCS looks even worse now.
