magicbalala245
There's no guarantee that (Rafer) Alston will actually remain with the Nets when the 2009-10 season begins. He was included in the Vince Carter deal primarily because his salary made the deal work, but once October rolls around, there is likely to be a lot of interest in a starting-quality, veteran point in the last year of his contract. Especially one like Alston, whose prestige soared this past season because he accomplished one of the most difficult of all NBA tasks for a point guard: taking over a team in the midseason, and getting it all the way to June. Universe
Pretty much everyone knew that considering we are trying for free agents when we don't have a roster spot for them.
Warren2ThaG
I wonder what value you has, to a team that will start him or bench him.
Klashnekoff
We have Dooling so i was sure Alston or Dooling weren't staying .. this kinda clarifies that .. I think we trade Alston for a player like Batum .. Make it happen!

Klashnekoff
Well Batum should be, they already have Rudy, Outlaw and maybe Hedo at the SF, PF positions and that's really where Batum plays .. plus i think Batum will play well under a proper point .. Sun Tzu
I reckon Portland might have interest in him.
Klashnekoff
Yeah if the Miller deal doesn't eventuate then Alston could go to Portland as i said for Batum.
