Derek Jeter....awesome hitter, awesome guy, absolutely not a gold glove shortstop. The voting process is pretty messed up. Rafael Palmeiro won the gold glove for 1B a couple years ago despite being a DH for 145 games and only playing about 10 games at first.

NL Gold Glove Winners:

C - Yadier Molina, Cardinals

1B - Adrian Gonzalez, Padres

2B - Orlando Hudson, Dodgers

3B - Ryan Zimmerman, Nationals

OF - Matt Kemp, Dodgers

OF - Michael Bourne, Astros

OF - Shane Victorino, Phillies

P - Adam Wainwright, Cardinals

I'm a bit surprised that Utley didn't get one and it's about time Ryan Zimmerman gets recognized.

Yeah. Well I am not saying Utley should have won but Hudson is the closest thing to a surprise on that list. He is a damn good second baseman but I'd have thought that him getting benched for the last part of the regular season would have hurt him.

Well don't call me stupid about this but is gold glovers like how you don't make a lot errors? Playing good Defense? and such? Is that what they are?

Yeah, it's supposed to be the best defensive guy at each position. Doesn't necessarily mean errors, though. Some guys (like Derek Jeter) don't make a whole lot of errors because they just don't have the range to get to a lot of balls, and have a chance to make an error on it. So really you need to watch the players to be able to tell who the best are, and the writers who vote on this clearly do not haha.
