Dr. Feelgood
I got inspired by the "What if Rudy stayed with Houston". I've often thought about this before but never thought about posting a topic about it...What if we would of kept Randy Foye and Tyrus Thomas? Would Foye and Tyrus have had better careers in Portland? Do you still think both would of kept getting plagued with injuries? Remember, Foye and Tyrus would of gotten loads and loads of playing time in Portland like Roy and LaMarcus did. Your thoughts? Owner Real Deal Posted November 12, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted November 12, 2009 Better careers? Probably not. But just be thankful you made those decisions to deal them, because Portland won by a landslide. I just can't say that Foye and Thomas would've had better careers mainly because Aldridge feeds off of Roy, and I think the same would be said for those two. Thing is, using the situation you presented, Roy wouldn't be in Portland, and they would've been in the same boat together, really.
Erick Blasco
Portland might be able to capture an 8 seed without Roy, but he's a superstar (a legit one) who makes everyone around him better and who pulls wins away from potential losses. The Blazers don't want to think what they'd be without him.
