okc is a exciting young team with loads of potential unless they somehow turn to poo and stop selling tickets (we have sold out i think 4/5 times this season) within the next few years then they would be moved. grizz and kings if anything would be moved before thunder

Not a big deal? I bet it would be a big deal if you were from Seattle.

I'm guessing you are?

Yeah, I mean...I'm sure there are a lot of Seattle fans disappointed, especially at the way things turned out. My problem with that is the fact that MOST of the fans in Seattle have to hang that on themselves. Attendance dropped quite a bit, and despite getting Durant, nothing really ever improved. The city set their roadblocks as well.

Oklahoma City was the best suitor for an NBA team. Having to go there at least every month or two, I can see how well they are taking it in, and OKC is expanding QUICKLY. I haven't seen an area expand that fast, and I'd say from Tulsa to Oklahoma City, they are doing very, very well. Tulsa just snagged a WNBA team, in fact...and about two years ago, having that happen would be pretty unlikely.

Moving these teams to the middle of the country is only promoting the league better. Seattle wasn't taking the Sonics in with open arms anymore, and I ran across many people a few years back that said they were sick and tired of watching basketball. That's pretty bad, to say the least.

But there's going to be a team waiting in the wings for Seattle...I just can't say it'll be soon, though. And Vancouver? I'm not sure that's going to happen. I could see Kansas City raking in a team before Vancouver, and Vegas has a good shot at one, also, if Stern isn't too worried about the gambling.

Thanks lol

Yea I see what you're saying but I guess it sucks when your team is finally starting to rebuild and you see nothing but a promising future for the team then you lose them. The Sonics fans gave up because we had no youth and no hope. Then we finally get Durant and Green and I was very excited then I found out we were losing them and we drafted Westbrook which was cool. Then this year we nab Harden and Mullens. Nothing but a promising future if you ask me. Fans from Seattle love their football, just don't see why we couldn't support the basketball as much.

Yeah, that's a bit odd, because even when Allen and Shard were carrying the load for that 50+ win Sonics team, the attendance was down, and the excitement just wasn't there.

I think everyone lost a piece of their Sonics when Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton took off.
