Here's his point total in his last 4 starts from his first start.

 

@ New York - 6 pts (13 min)

@ Orlando - 9 pts (23 min)

@ Miami - 18 pts (31 min)

vs. Utah - 20 pts (38 min)

 

In the past 2 games he's legitimately playing as a starter.

 

He only played a lot last year because the Cavs were blowing teams out, but as a starter, he's averaging a little over 13 a game and that point line should look more consistent as the Cavs get used to him starting. Last year he was a rookie who barely played important minutes, and now he's starting and having great hustle plays, alley oops from LeBron passes, nice jump shots, and good penetration to get a lay up or dunk.

He could very well be a candidate but it's way too early to conclude this. I was impressed with his play against Miami though, very aggressive and proved to have a decent jumper as well.

Even if he continues his play and raises his averages and such i wouln't choose him over Ariza/Bynum/Landry/M.Gasol(if those guys continue their play as well.

Most improved on tha team not league lol. Plus most Cavs fan didn't trust him like non fans.

He could be a candidate for Most Improved. The Cavs barely used him last season well not as much as this season. I'm surprised his putting up such huge numbers. I saw the replay of the Heat game and he did pretty well.

I am guessing 80% of those points are on dunks. Most improved players are typically guys who go from mostly non factors to high contributors, not scrubs to average.

I don't see how 18 pts and 20 pts the last two games is average. And they aren't all dunks. He's had a few jump shots and many shots in the post.

It's still too early to tell, especially with him only having two decent performances so far this season with his increased role and minutes. He is a candidate obviously, but I don't see him higher up than Will Bynum, to name one.
