kingfish
Thats what it looks like. We are now going back to the days where our center is the first option while Kobe takes on a lesser role. Im dead serious lol, Kobe is still the leader but yeah idk. Owner Real Deal Posted November 16, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted November 16, 2009 Yeah, Bynum scored 40 points three times already this season, and he's averaging 23.5 shots per game.
kingfish
I said NOW, not in the past Taking more shots doesnt make you the first option. Ok well in a way it kinda does, but Bynums more efficient. Edited November 16, 2009 by kingfish
Warren2ThaG
He's not a triangle big like Gasol, so if he gets the ball he's keeping it. He's 2nd option with no Gasol in most games.
ChosenOne
Here they come. lmao sorry I had to. But to be honest Bynum should be the primary target in games like these, we have no center that is even close to matching up. Kobe should be able to take it some what easy in games like these. That was the season we won the championship, and he won Finals MVP.
Poe
Ummm.. Kobe just came out of a usual 27 ppg season, was regular season MVP only a couple years ago, was finals MVP last year.... while Bynum just came out of a 14 ppg season, has 9 ppg for his career, and had a 6 point playoff average last season.... and you're telling me that Kobe Bryant, arguably the best player since Jordan and is still putting up a very solid 30 ppg so far this year, is a second option to Andrew Bynum because of a couple off games??? Check my Stats
They need to develop Bynum into the first option because Kobe can't score 30 PPG forever, if Bynum could become a legitimate star that would be great for the Lakers and bad for the rest of the league. As much as I hate it, Bynum is actually starting to look like he is worth that extension, kinda scary to think how much further along his development might be if he was on a team where he would be getting almost all the touches, instead of on a team where you have to make statistical sacrifices for the chance at a title obviously. Ideally if I was a Lakers fan I would want Bynum doing the most scoring and being 'the man' offensively so to speak in the upcoming years during the season, so that way Kobe can adopt the Tim Duncan coast through the season style, get his 24 points and all his other stats, all star games and what not, then just turn it on for the last 12 games and the playoffs.
