YugoRocketsFan
I'll say Wilt's rebounding record. Nobody has come CLOSE at all to Wilt's rebounding record. The highest ive seen someone get is like 26. Wilt has 55, Kobe scored 81 points, which is 19 from his record.
kingfish
Definitely 55 boards in one game. I cant even imagine how someone could do that. The 30 assists, 100 points, mehh someone could break that. All it takes is one hot shooting night against the Warriors, or someone like Nash or Paul playing 45+ minutes vs them and it could be broken. Sun Tzu
I'm stuck between 55 rebounds in a game, 32 rebounds in a half and 100 points in a game. All of them seem impossible for anyone to do.
Diesel
I think Wilts 48.5 MPG in his second year is up there too. Not only did he play every minute of every game, but also every OT minute as well. Noone will ever touch that either. Of those listed I am going to go with the 55 rebounds in one game by Wilt. ChosenOne
Just like what everyone else said Most rebounds in a game 55 by Wilt Chamberlain.

JWaLL
I'd have to go with the 55 rebounds. That is just an insurmountable number in that category... The 50.4 points per game is definitely a close second.
Dr. Feelgood
I too went with 55 rebounds in a game, just waaaay to high for anyone to even come close. Almost went with Wilt's 100 but Kobe dropped 81 so someone could get up there.

The Regime
55 rebounds lol, no one will ever come close to that. Anyone know who has had the most rebounds every since that?
Poe
I'm stuck between the 50 ppg and the rebounds. Russel and Wilt's record kind of goes along the same lines, and if I had to vote for the rebounding record I'd have to vote for both. Like the rebounding high, the season ppg hasn't been touched, either. Closest we got were Kobe and Jordan with their 35+ ppg years. In today's league, I don't see either being touched, unless we get some sort of 8 foot guy into the league that can actually get up and down the court with ease and has the athleticism of LeBron James or something. The other things to consider are the 100 point game and the 33 win streak, but the Rockets had that 24 game winning streak (IIRC) and Kobe had that 81 point game, so those look more touchable. Owner Real Deal Posted November 16, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted November 16, 2009 There have been 12 players that have grabbed 30 or more rebounds in a game (since 1986, anyways). Oakley grabbed 35 in a game in 1988. Jordan's 37 PPG is the second highest to Wilt's 50, right? I gotta go with Wilt's 50 average. I don't think someone can score an average of 50 points per game over an 82 game season. When Wilt did it, there were nine teams, and it was 1962. Poe
Yea, I think I'm going with the 50ppg. It's one thing to have one single great night, but it's another to put up spectacular and almost unrealistic numbers on a nightly basis, and wind up averaging a point number that most players, even some stars, don't even achieve as a career high. In today's league, there is no way anyone is ever going to come close to that point number for a full 82 game season. Although the single game rebounding number also seems unrealistic, I think the ppg average is by far the most out of reach at this point. Same thing with his 27 rpg average as well. But anyway i went with the most rebounds in a game. Thats so hard to do and i dont know if it will ever be broken but it will be pretty darn hard to do so. Poe
Most superstars have, shoot Brandon Jennings did it yesterday.Yea, but it's rare for players to get it more than once a year, if that. Some superstars like Wade, Kobe, and LeBron may get it, like, 3 or 4 times in a year. Maybe a couple more, maybe a couple less. What I'm saying is, if you take the best 82 games of out a guy like Kobe's 957 career games, it still probably wouldn't average close to 50 ppg, and he's been the league's best scorer this past decade. And to think of a guy averaging 50 points each game for an entire season? I'm still taking the best season average over the single game record, not to degrade how incredible getting over 55 boards in one game would be, I'm still taking the night in and night out remarkable performances over that. Poe
Jordan had 37 which is still 13 away from Wilt's, LeBron and Wade could be the next ones to get real close.13 doesn't sound like a lot, but it is, especially for an average throughout 82 games. There's a big difference between 8 points and 21 points, or 24 points and 37 points, or 37 and 50. Edited November 16, 2009 by Poe

YugoRocketsFan
What's one game vs 82? Who cares? I still believe getting 55 in a rebounds is way more difficult than averaging 50 ppg because nobody has gotten close at all, especially in today's game, and nobody has the capability of getting close. Heck, I don't think any player has averaged 50 ppg in a single month since Wilt. I don't think either will be catchable with the circumstances in today's game, and I'm starting to repeat myself, but I'm still taking extraordinary numbers over the course of 82 games as more unbeatable than pulling extraordinary numbers in a single game, and I guess that's just my opinion.
