BlueDevil
Jul 02, 2009 6:13 PM EST Allen Iverson and Ron Artest have been contacted by Pat Riley in the opening days of free-agency negotiations, league sources said Thursday. Riley entered the start of the free agency negotiating period Wednesday saying he would be reluctant to spend the $5.5 million mid-level exception because the Heat already was past the league's anticipated dollar-for-dollar luxury tax on excessive payrolls. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/60288/20090702/miami_contacts_iverson_and_artest/
SRV
Please not Iverson, landing Artest would make us a top 3 team in the East IMO.

HornyWetPenguin
Get Ai and Artest there, and Heat are a championship team. AI/Wade/Artest, sup?
JWaLL
Iverson on the Heat? What would his role be there? You have Wade at shooting guard, Chalmers at the point, Iverson can't really play the point so would he be a backup to Wade?
SRV
Oh well, he signed with the Lakers. I hope we at least attempt to go for Ariza. He is a solid player and shouldn't be too expensive to sign. Knowing us though we will leave FA empty handed and Wade will be left with no help again.
