Legacy
The Warriors learned Monday that swingman Kelenna Azubuike is out for the season and that guard C.J. Watson tested positive for swine flu. According to a team source, an MRI on Monday showed the injury Azubuike sustained Saturday at Milwaukee will require surgery, which means the patellar tendon was torn in his left knee. The surgery will be scheduled this week. Recovery time for this type of surgery usually is five to six months. Watson is being treated according to the NBA's mandated precautionary measures. He will not be with the team for the remainder of the road trip, which concludes Wednesday in Boston. The Warriors started the road trip last Wednesday with 10 players but now have seven healthy players for today's game at Cleveland. Golden State is flying in forward Devean George and suiting up center Ronny Turiaf just in case. Both are recovering from knee injuries, but the league requires eight players dressed.Source
Owner Real Deal Posted November 17, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted November 17, 2009 Blah. Not a good sign for the Warriors. You can suit up eight, but you can't play just seven unless you expect to get crushed.
JWaLL
The Warriors are starting to cripple. Hopefully this means a bigger role for Curry though.
Poe
Ellis and Maggette need to be traded for a good big man or combo forward. Curry needs more playing time, Maggette needs to go, and they need way more depth at the low post.
Owner Real Deal Posted November 17, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted November 17, 2009 Send Ellis and a filler to the Sixers for Elton Brand. There's no chance you will be able to trade Maggette, though. He's signed up until 2013, finishing at almost $11 million a year.
headliner
I feel bad for the fans of this team. It just seem this team is falling apart and this season just might be over but that would take some smart moves by the gm and thus far he hasn’t done that.
