Universe
http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=299097 It's what the Chicago Blackhawks are dealing with now that they are on the verge of signing Pat Kane, Jonathan Toews and Duncan Keith to long-term contract extensions. Because while most of the work has been done to finalize five-year agreements for both Kane and Toews -- worth more than $6 million per year apiece -- and a 13-year whopper for Keith -- worth a little less than $6 million per year -- sources suggest the primary reason they haven't been formalized and announced is because the Hawks need to make things right with the NHL salary cap police. Duncan would be under contract until he will be 39 years old. Now that's fianacial planning.
Phightins
Yeah they are already in hot water over the Hossa deal (same thing Flyers are dealing with over Pronger deal) so I am sure they are being very careful here. If they can somehow pull this all off though, major props. I saw no way they'd fit all three in.
