EastCoastNiner
Well, in case you didn't know, President Obama wants those morons to have a trial in the U.S., with the same rights as U.S. Citizens, which also means that a lot of information in the case against them will not be allowed to be used, and there is a good chance that they are not sentenced. Do you guys think that those dirty [expletive]ing terrorists should have the SAME rights as U.S. Citizens?

kingfish
Well I mean sure why not. We dont even know if they are the ones that are behind it, so I guess a trial is neccesary. Im not sayin their innocent but you cant just accuse random guys of something and assume its true.

They're pleading not guilty, but they don't deny having being a part of it. This entire thing is insane, they need to be tried as war criminals in the military court. They're not citizens, they don't deserve the same rights.

Flash
Unreal. If they admitted to being involved then how the hell aren't they dead yet. Better yet, let them rot in prison so they can't die and get whatever it is they are supposed to get in "heaven". Obama is really doing a number on this country... Owner Real Deal Posted November 24, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted November 24, 2009 If they are admitting it, how are they going to be proven innocent in a court of law? Are you guys telling me that Americans are that big of morons?
OSUBucksfan09
If they admitted it they should be tortured and have to endure the most painful death they possibly can. I am not saying this because I am cruel or w/e but someone who can be ok with helping that many people die deserves to pay for what they have done. Are you guys telling me that Americans are that big of morons? A lot of the information that the U.S. has against them will not be admissible in court. They will be able to claim Miranda rights and use the 4th Ammendment for unreasonable search and seizures to their advantage, and will get a MUCH shorter sentence. Which might be like what, 26 life sentences, instead of 32? Who cares, they obviously won't be walking the streets in the rest of their lifetime. They won't ever get out, as said above. They'll get life.

No, they won't if our dumbass President who has [expletive]ed everything up has his way with it, And, it's not just this case, but this opens the door to many defenses for terrorists and insurgents to plead in court. Otherwise, we won't be so lucky the next time some of our own kind (meaning Americans) are captured for crossing a border or, well...just for being in a country, as we've seen many times over the last two years. I'm not sure what your idea is, but maybe we should just hang them, record it, and broadcast it on live TV?
reno
Sure, they are people too believe it or not, and some of them been waterboard 182 times, what would you say after you have been waterboard 182 times? I bet you would say anything as long as it meant for the torture stopped.

First off, there is no guarentee that they will be convicted considering most of the evidence will be THROWN OUT if they are given the same right's as U.S. Citizens, which you seem to not understand for some reason. Also, this just opens the door for other terrorists to have a great defense,

Also, this just opens the door for other terrorists to have a great defense,1) No judge or jury will find them innocent. They aren't being tried in Syria. 2) What terrorist will have a great defense? Most kill themselves to begin with, and if they don't, they are proud to admit what they did. Humans have rights. It doesn't matter who. I can beat some guy to the end of his life, with a bat, until he agrees to confess to a mass murder. Does that make him a terrorist all of a sudden? If it does, according to you, he's dead to us...and he goes to prison for life. How would that make surrounding Americans feel? How about surrounding countries? We're already in over our heads because of a war we can't win (don't even know what the hell we're fighting for, still), countries despise us, so I guess we might as well piss off the rest of the world any way we can.
