Anyone own a netbook?

I have one, I love it. It's so compact, it goes anywhere with you. I use it as a laptop as I bought one with a pretty big hard-drive and then bought some extra RAM for it later on. Really the only thing it lacks is a CD Drive, but I bought an external one just in case I ever needed it for anything when I had some extra money.

I'd definitely recommend it for you, you get more than what you actually pay for.

Can you use microsoft word and stuff on it or is it simply just for internet?

I have one hooked up to a large monitor. I'm honestly thinking about going back to a laptop. The keyboard is so small it makes it tough to type large things at once and the screen (if you don't hook it up to a larger monitor) is also very small. Also, netbooks can run slower on certain sites with a lot going on. For example... this site runs a little bit slower than on my other computer. My guess is it's because so many graphics and what not need to be processed through this tiny, little machine.

If I were you I'd almost rather just stick with the laptop.
